I would love to see SA stories just because I love the area and I think GTA needs to revisit SA. But the thing is that its really doubtful that they would go back to the GTA III generation to complete this game. Also Rockstar said that they dont know if there gonna go back to the handheld market so I really think its unlikely

I'm sure he's got a kind interior under his silent persona

Killing Kenji for no reason says otherwise. sarcasm.gif I'm with AH64Hunter on this one. I'd rather know more about the unresolved plot points of the III era like the ultimate fate of gangs like Leones, Yakuza, the Haitian gang and Da Nang boys. Perhaps some more information about characters like Brian Johnson, Luis' daughter and Pete Vance. The popularity of Claude's looks among his fans sarcasm.gif is a very weak reason for R* to include him in another GTA based on the III era. If they do, for some reason, I just hope they don't portray him as horribly as they have in III and SA.

Yes because they already had a Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories, so why not San Andreas Stories. It wouldn't be a problem to me and it might be better to return to San Andreas.

Honestly? No, I don't believe it is necessary. Putting aside the fact it would be nice to re-visit the 1992 glory years of San Andreas, I can't help but feel like it'd just be a step backwards in terms of the series. I believe that all the loose ends were tied up at the end, and those questions that were left unanswered were intended to be left that way. GTAIII and VC had its fair share of those that weren't even answered in their respective Stories installments. Like I said, it would be an absolute blast to play through but I believe R* is thoroughly done with the III era and what a fitting end it's had. Game number five is what people are wet over, and I have to agree with them.

Just like LCS and VCS weren't absolutely necessary, SAS wouldn't be absolutely necessary either. However, why should San Andreas be the only game not to get a prequel? And there are several things that could be explored in it:

-How exactly Brian died.
-Why the Seville and Temple Family sets split from the Grove.
-The deaths of Tony, Li'l Devil, and Big Devil.
-The fight between Sweet and CJ that saw CJ leave Los Santos.
-Big Smoke and Ryder starting their double-dealing, and the formation of the Loco Syndicate.

YES! I don't care if it's unnecessary but having a fresh new game, storyline and character to play with in the state of San Andreas is exactly what I'm wishing for and on a PSP (and PS2) it is pure perfection!

I know the freshness will die out after playing it too much but still, my mouth is watering for a San Andreas based prequel to the game with the same name that explores another side of the story from somebody else's perspective.

It'd be nice to see something like this, although most people would be disappointed because they expect IV Era games from now, so the III Era (GTA III, Vice City & San Andreas) is over.
Still, to see a brand new San Andreas with new missions and cities would be awesome! It'd be simply awesome, but still, it's a dream that just won't happen, and that's about it.

I think you're missing the point. It would have to be a story that would take you around the entire state of San Andreas again. Even if you think Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories weren't necessary, they still told stories that took the player in those games around the entire map. There's also the issue of how exactly you can develop a prequel to one of the most popular GTA titles and keep the experience fresh. What kind of changes, big or small, could you even begin to introduce? And how long would it take? We're talking about a map with three different cities and various small towns amidst the desert and countryside.

EDIT: << 'new' topic merged with existing topic >>

so san andreas widly considered as the best GTA game ever definetly deserves a san andreas stories at least a HD remake instead an introduction dvd was made, but the game would have certainly been better

so if it did come what would have been the

storyline?
protaganist?
setting?[year taking place}
location differnces from san andreas

and all your other thoughts and suggestions!

EDIT: This is an Olde Game, many questions can be answered with the FORUM TOOL: SEARCH. Always SEARCH before making a ‘new’ topic.
