However, I like to stay loyal to Rockstar's story instead of playing user-made mod stories for some reason though...

Its not necessary, neither were the other story games. However I couldn't get enough of the GTA 3 era, I would simply like to play new missions and such on the PS2 game engine that GTA 3 uses. Im not a fan of the PS3 GTA games

This should have probably gone in the General GTA Chat area, although I suppose that it does fit in here. However for the record I voted no. I did so simply because I like San Andreas on its own as a standalone game, and making a prequel or a sequel game like was done for III and VC is perhaps not as necessary due to the fact that it made so much money by itself and is probably either the most recognisable or at least the second most recognisable GTA game in history. They don't need to milk it for more revenue.

Plus there is always the argument that trying to force the huge map of San Andreas into a PSP or another handheld device would be nearly impossible to do, due to the huge amount of data. VC and LC were manageable sizes. And I can't see San Andreas Stories being made for a PS3 or XBOX 360, mainly because they're so busy making the next GTA game for those consoles, and a rush job making this game would leave everybody unsatisfied.

Also, do I detect a little bias in the poll? Would you care to explain to me how VCS ruined Vice City as a game? In my opinion it built on it.

I would like to see another III Era game and going back to SA as that was done only once and a huge map would be kinda cool - provided they did keep it in the III Era so none of this bullsh*t that IV was filled with. It would be easily technically possible on 3DS or NGP if RockStar didn't want it to compete against GTA V. It would be cool to go back to 1990-1991 for example and perhaps play as a Ballas gang member and have a final mission be a shootout which gets CJ's brother (or was it mother) killed.
