I want to create a huge explosion on the sticky bomb. now i notice there are limmits in the Radius of the explosion (END_RADIUS). I know that i can scale the Fx of the explosion up by increasing the FX_SCALE but this onely looks big. i want all the cars to fly away and not onely smoke.
on top of the ExplosionFx.dat there is written:

# MAX END_RADIUS SHOULD BE 15.0

anything above 15 does no difference. you can put 9999999999999 in there but it is still as big as 15.
changeing it to : # MAX END_RADIUS SHOULD BE 1500000.0 has no effect because it is onely a help notice (#)

i searched all over the net for this but couldn't find an answer, nor anyone, who asked this before^^

So how do i disable the limmitation or change it?

You need to edit the 'FX_SCALE' value.

'END_RADIUS' value determines how much damage is inflicted via the outside radius of the explosion, and does not determine the scale of the explosion.

Change the 'FX_SCALE' value in the explosion your editing to about 3.0 - 3.5 for great effects.

I hope this helps.

but thats not what i want. increasing the FX_SCALE onely makes the visuals of the explosion bigger > bigger smoke and fire. But it is not bigger. it onely looks bigger. it does NOT increase the area, where the cars are pulled away and explode and you get damage. it onely makes the fx bigger but not the damage radius.
to increase the damage radius and physik radius, END_RADIUS must be increaset. but the problem is, that it is limmeted to 15, what is not big enough for my "big time massive explosion", what can clear out a few blocks.
is there any other whay to make the explosion(not onely the visuals) bigger? (no FX_SCALE)

I don't think there is a value for increasing the are effect, you can try increasing END_RADIUS more than 15 and see what happens but remember to make a backup.
You can also edit the FORCE_FACTOR value which is the value that controls how much further cars and peds will fly from the explosion.

EDIT: I put the buzzard END_RADIUS to 50.0 and it worked just fine smile.gif
