To be honest, Pakistan might have managed to upset Australia but it was no surprise. Australia weren't looking invincible like they used to before. I don't back Pakistan to go all the way, though. They just don't have the batting strength to back up their bowlers.

The whole walking thing is a crock of sh*t. Just because Gilchrist popularised it and his own popularity vicariously made walking a noble prospect.

There's enough mechanisms in place to undermine umpires in this game, promoting an action such as walking as being gentlemanly or whathaveyou when it's really just telling the umpires to eat sh*t doesn't sit well with me. I forget the bowler, but the time when Gilchrist walked when the ball hit a crack against Sri Lanka in an ODI really shows how the batsman can get it wrong.

Ponting may have smashed that, but imo, you go when the man in white tells you to go.

But yeah, Ponting hasn't been popular with the media for a long time. He's gone over 12 months without a century, is widely blamed for the nonselection of Hauritz and the promotion of Doherty in the Ashes, the continued selection of White in this World Cup, and don't forget his over-rate debacle in India the other year - continuing with part-timers instead of going for the jugular so he wouldn't get reprimanded for slow over-rates.

Seeing clips of the Adelaide test in the 06-07 Ashes, Ponting walked out for that game with his average a touch over 60. How far he's fallen since then is saddening.

Yay! Finally Pakistan Beated West indies and Step Forward to Semi Final. Now i'm 100% sure Pakistan Will Win the World Cup. I'm happy that Pakistan's Bowling attack is awesome and Batting is also Improved. If We keep doing this great work i can bet No One can stop us.

For once, our[India's] fielding turned out to be quite good....Zaheer bowled quite well, ashwin did good fielding, and all-in-all, it was a good match....for the first semi-final, we'll get to witness the 'deadliest' combo of teams, India& Pakistan......Let's see how it turns out to be..
For a change, Australia isn't getting to win this worldcup, though..

So South Africa have fallen at the Knock-Out hurdle yet again, despite them being in the driving seat for over two-thirds of the match! Smart bowling from the Zealanders mean that a Semi-Final with either Sri Lanka or England awaits them! Also as M.A.K has noted, what a tasty Semi-Final India vs Pakistan is!

It's Good that India Won so now Semi final will be between India and Pakistan. India Got Good batsman and Pakistan Got Awesome bowlers so it's hard to predict that who'd win. BTW Whoever Win This match gonna be Interesting.

Congratulation to New Zealand they did a great Work today. Though they didn't gave the big target but they defended that awesomely.

In all honesty though, South Africa looked the most complete side on paper. Good batsmen, good bowlers and fielding has never been a worry. I had my money on them making it to the finals... and then choking.

South Africa are the new West Indies. Fantastic at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'm hoping for another thriller against Sri Lanka tomorrow for England; although I do feel that we need to bat first to stand any chance of winning, what with their fantastic bowling attack just coming into form.

For all I know, England have a good chance of upsetting Sri Lanka. Their bowling is not as good as Lanka's though, so batting first and raking up a good score should give a nice cushion for their bowlers. Lanka's batting is pretty good, too. Anything less than 250 would be a losing score.

You were the one who went offtopic in the first place with your conspiracy theories which make Shiv Sena, which is one of Bharat's political parties which actually cares about Sanatana Dharma, Hindus and protecting Bharat, look bad.

I suggest you do more research on the war with the LTTE. pakistan was certainly not the only country which helped us, and to be honest, we shouldn't have asked a nation as horrible as yours for any help, but our extremely incompetent Fuhrer went ahead anyway.

Even if we had been playing badly, it won't be surprising if we beat them. That's just how it has been the last 4 times we met in a World Cup. It's just something about playing Pakistan that brings out the best in the Indians. Pakistan is currently hoping against hope that they can beat India, but I don't see it happening.
