I know we have enough review threads as it is and I know some people do video reviews, but nothing to make it exciting like commentary. I know I have played alot of good missions and there are some things we can describe.. if anyone has a headset talking while we play the missions will make mission reviews a little more interesting.


If anyone who has a headset besides me, feel free to leave a comment on the thread if you are interested.


Basically here how it will work. Very similar to AznKei's reviews people can request to review certain missions. Someone who wants to record themselves playing the mission can review it if they want.

I think most people get the point of it. What makes this interesting is some people might want to add comedy to the reviews or people might want to elaborate on review that makes typing a pain in the ass.
Its just an idea.. If people are interested feel free to post

I was interested about this idea a long time ago, when I started to play other DYOM users missions. I was very interested to be a charismatic reviewer such as AzureBlade49 or ProtonJonSA on Youtube.

Unfortunately, I don't have a headset or a mic on me. Even if I do, I live in a very noisy environment. But I might start to do video reviews with commentary in the future if I found a way to talk without too much disturbance.

Sounds like a cool idea . I'd do it too, but I have a speech impairment. I say S C and Z through my nose . So I sound like a pig when I speak through an electronic device .

Ok so I finished the review for the mission Chimpso wanted me to review


Ill post it when Its done. The video was 12 minutes, so I will have to break it up into 2 parts ( stupid youtube limits)


Anyway its not great.. I will say more review in the future might be better than this. The mic is messed up in the beginning lol.. So that was one fail. Anyway when it shows up you can watch it.

Thanks for the comments. I took a look of the examples u wanted me to look at, the main problem with those type of reviews is they talk about the overview of the entire game. Its Obvious some have played it before.


My video is more like a in game commentary, but what makes it a little different.. because some of the missions I am choosing to review I have not even played them before. So no one can expect me to come up with something right off the bat.


An example would be the fact that Aznkeis review's missions *after* they complete them.

I was trying to make it clear in the title, but adding Review messed it up.


Maybe I did say alot of sh*t that didn't matter to the mission, but I really didn't see that too much since bout half the sh*t I said was during the mission.

About the enthusiasm, I probably was not very enthusiastic as I wanted mainly because I was sleepy at the time, but then again I do not really see a big difference in tone with someone who is enthusiastic, sorry .

I was not very confident any of it will turn out because of my sh*tty headset >.>

I actually like it this way. I would not like some drone who has played the missions for the millionth time to give a "review", I prefer commentary, and that's what I got.

I can't believe you actually had the guts to go ahead and do this. I enjoyed listening to it, and seeing someone else play your missions is amazing .

I LOLed at the sniper in the tree part . I never thought he would be much of a problem, but it seems he was . The tank had 2500 hp and was bulletproof, but could still be destroyed by flames (hence the molotovs ), and putting the minigunner on the top was the only way to simulate a "Turrent".

All the other soldiers in the map are static. I usually expected them to be wasted by the enemy, but some of them stay alive and just stand there. No way to fix that though...

The "Health Regen" is a bug with v6.1. Dutchy and Patrick are fixing that up.

Anyways, glad you liked the mission. I might make a desert attack 3 now. These missions are hellafun to create .

Hah, Maybe the health regen can help , still cheap. Glad you liked the commentary, I prefer commentary over reviews because you cant really add any humor to the review, its just talking about the overview, atleast with commentary you can point out things during the mission that are fun to notice.

I commentated on Running with Errands By Tug66666 and that was 20 mins So yea 2 parts again, Maybe I will upload tomorrow.


Also I finished with Jetjatin's mission Death to Spies - Hotel that was bout 5-6 mins, overall that mission was not too impressive, but it was fun nevertheless.

I will upload those in the next few days, but I gotta get to sleep because it is 2:14 am in the morning and I got school
