Johnny's a 1%-er, an outlaw. He doesn't need a reason to rip someone off. That's what they do, he always tries to help the brotherhood, get as much cash as possible. Especially in that situation, with the gang falling apart, they needed the money and Johnny wasn't thinking about the consequences.

australiadreamin when I did the "Ray Boccino" topic, a lot of people said I wouldn't like him in The Lost And Damned, because he was slimy criminal, and he did bad things to the Lost, but what do you want him to do?? Cash isn't synonym to help the brotherhood, what keeps the brotherhood going is the friendship! Greed took over Lost, not Ray!

@cidamelo - Yeah, greed took over The Lost, but Billy started it. Billy told Ray that Johnny was a Judas, a traitor. Billy told everyone Johnny set him up in the mission "This Sh*t's Cursed".
And it happened otherwise. Friendship didn't mean squat for Ray. He wouldn't have given Johnny half the money. He was with Billy on that one, would have ripped Johnny off anyway..
Johnny made a great a move.

2. I completely agree with you. I asked the same sh*t in different topics. Johnny and Ray are ok, but as soon as Johnny asks "You know Ashley?" in Bad Standing he starts to hate Ray and wants to rip him off. Johnny is vain and can't take Ray is f*cking Ashely, even though Johnny wants to keep distance to the bitch.

However, Ray was always straight with Johnny and let me tell you what:
I enjoyed seeing Ray hitting Johnny is "Was it worth it?"

Johnny doesn't only betray Ray, but also Niko.

Dude you don't seem to understand that outlaws look out for themselves, for the brotherhood. They don't give a sh*t about people they just met a few days ago as long as they're okay. And that's fine for them, it just doesn't always turn out to be that good. Like in Johnny's case.

He told Niko to do it, in the mission Museum Piece. He was very straight with The Lost, the backstabbing was Johnny, not Ray! Oh a great move! He just destroyed Lost, congratulations

How can you say Ray would have paid him? Do you have any guarantees? The way Ray was using Johnny I severely doubt he would have paid him - put yourself in his position. You've got the money and offloaded the diamonds. You've got a loose cannon biker gang in a weak position. Cap the f*cker and and his friends! You might not have done it personally but Ray sure as hell would have.

True. Ray sucked big time. Johnny ripped him off because he knew that if he didn't he wouldn't have gotten the money anyway. Ray was using him and everybody knew it. So @cidamelo - You might like Ray, but he's still an asshole. End of discussion.

The Lolwut Pear I never tried. But I think he was right in not trust Niko! C'mon, he was always straight with Niko, and Niko always treated Ray badly! I would not trust in someone like him. And he was right, because Niko kills him!!

Ray was straight with Niko and Johnny. He may act like an ass-kisser in the cutscene to "Pegorino's pride" and he also acts like a rat in "Pest Control"...but still, Niko says "you pay sh*t" but Ray actually pays much more money than others. Also he helps you find Florian Cravic.

Ray also might act a little arrogant, putting his business and concerns on top of everyone else's. He still got his good sides, which overshadow his bad ones in my opinion.

junkpile I agree with you. He may be an ass-kisser, but I don't think he is a rat. He was suspicious towards Phil, and with reason! Jimmy seemed to have a blind admiration with Phil. Ray was helpful to Niko and to The Lost, but both were ungrateful. And he's right to put his business on top of everyone else's, everyone treats him badly, what do you want him to do??
buzbegone I played the game just one time, but I don't think Ray has something to do with the set up. The only thing I know about Ray and Billy is that Billy was telling Ray to not do business with Johnny, because he was backstabbing, but instead to listen to Billy, Ray called Johnny to do the diamonds deal Ray did nothing wrong in GTA IV or in The Lost And Damned!!

Ill tell the truth I did really like Ray. He was the most "mobster" like guy in all the GTAs. His missions were great, he was just a cool dude. I felt bad killing him
