I feel like alot of you posting about SRTT want to dislike it because it isn't made by Rockstar and it isn't a GTA title. If you just take a second and try to enjoy the game for what it is, you might surprise yourself.

And as for DLC, its not mandatory that you buy it, if you hate the game so much why would you want it anyway?

Fans, and people who enjoy the game will buy it regardless of price.

Several of us already said we liked the first 2. But the 3rd was generic, and everything felt recycled. Seriously and the DLC is just plane ridiculous. First they charge for cheats, then there making unlockable packs to unlock stuff that was already in the game. suicidal.gif

I hated GTA 4 and loved Saints Row 2.

Saints Row The Third is complete and utter sh*t.

We dislike SRTT because the series was heading on a good path with SR1 & SR2 and then turned to s**t with the Third installment, if it went like this;

QUOTE (JBanton @ SaintsRow.com Forums)
SR3 should have gone like this;
1. Saints have just taken over Stillwater
2. Yakuza, Cartels and Italian Mafia invade in attempt to claim the entire city as a stronghold.
3. Saints begin getting involved in organised crime.
4. Situation escalates and the public become aware of the Saints' doings. (Possible Dex setup?)
5. The Saints wipe the three gang factions out, becoming rich and famous in the ongoing process, as well as becoming national heroes for protecting the city.

This would've explained the Saints becoming rich and famous and would also have kept the storyline sensible.

I'm not buying SR4, that's for sure.

It would have been better, surely?

Saints Row 3 should of been in stillwater.
It should of answered fan questions about Dex and Troy.

Instead they brushed the series off with SR3 and acted like the previous titles never happened. The characters look very different as well. The main character in SR1 and 2 looked age 20, but in SR3 all the characters look 40.Its pathetic. And it still makes no since as to how the saints became famous either. suicidal.gif

At least you can properly play SR3 unlike that junk SR2. Car handling is better, heli controls are much better. I dunno what was so fun about SR2. It was an abortion compared to GTA4 (even to GTA CW).

I've been a big fan of the SR series since SR1. I can even say that SRTT was the game I was looking forward to the most last autumn but even I cannot deny that SRTT was disappointing.

Still a fun game to play when you're stoned and just feel like f*cking sh*t up though.

I'll never buy a Saints Row title again. I blame the CG trailer; if the graphics, charcters and content looked like they did in therethen they probably would have produced a good game.

Oh yeah, getting rid of Steve Jaros (the lead writer for SRTT) and getting someone with a brain to do the job would have helped too.

This game is pretty much at bargain bin price now, or getting close to.
Should i even bother? I liked SR2 to a point, i still haven't quite finished it but it was some fun.
Saints Row 3 however just looks plain ridiculous, fighting mechanics look buggy as f*ck, bullets don't really damage anyone, driving physics look even worse than SR2, in fact all the mechanics look pretty terrible. Not to mention all the ridiculous sh*t like air-strikes.

Is this game worth buying? It looks pretty terrible but i would like an opinion.

Based on what you said I'd say don't get it. I don't think it's a terrible game and while it improved certain core features it also ruined some too. It just lacks the character and replayability of SR2.

You'd probably end up playing it through 2-3 times max. I'm a pretty big fan of the first two games(especially SR2) and I ended up selling SR3 after not touching it for months.

Save your money. I'm not the biggest fan of SR2, but I can tell you if you liked SR2 even just to a point you'll HATE SRTT.

People say R* left out features out of GTA IV (even though there were reasons), but so much is changed in this it's not even funny. I have no idea what the f*ck they were smoking when they decided to remove multiplayer when the first 2 games had it. confused.gif

Personally I cant believe people said this would destroy GTA V (lol). The first two games are vastly superior IMO. This seemed like an excuse than anything with heart and soul put into it.

It will be released tomorrow only in North America. However, it will be avalible to us who are out of NA on November 9th. Damn it~~ I thought that most of you knew the way to unlock it earlier. Yes, i will use a FLYVPN to get the usa IP as usual to unlock the game. How about you if you are not living in NA?

Because, believe it or not, not all of us ceased mentally maturing at the age of twelve.

All this topic is is people crying about the same things, is it so hard to discuss what you think is wrong with the game instead of whining ad-nauseum about completely vague, inane, bullsh*t? DESCRIBE WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT IN DETAIL FOR f*ckS SAKE, stop copying the same sh*t everyone else has said, jesus f*ck, this SAINTSROWSUCKSLOL hivemind is f*cking god awful annoying. But I suppose on a forum full of GTA fanboys I shouldn't expect any better.

It wasn't an amazing game, but it was good, it was fun, and it accomplished exactly what it wanted to accomplish. The first mission, where you jump out of the helicopter into the penthouse party, holy sh*t, I hadn't had that much fun in a game in years; All The Lights blaring in the background as I dove around and surfed on people's faces. f*ck, was that glorious the first time I did it, I have never been so immersed in the chaos of a firefight in a game and felt so god damned powerful in my life.

Did you guys here about the outrageous "The Full Package" collection.

Its pure bulls*it. The pack comes with ALL Dlc. Whats the problem? Its the SAME game as before, this time, the DLC is all active. We all know Saints Row 3 had every piece of DLC already on the disk at launch. People were able to hack it active on the PC and 360 versions. Volition and THQ cant fool anyone.

First then change the game to be less fun then the first 2.
Second they add On Disk DLC
Finally they add online passes.

Seriously. Is THQ TRYING to ruin more of the franchises? Trust me, THQ CANT afford to lose anymore developers, THQ is already close to financial ruin.

Dude The words "Full Package" is pretty much fancy talk from THQ and Volition for "Complete Edition"

I finally got the chance to play this game at a friends house. I thought it would be a good game but when I finally sat down to play it I was like WTF is this sh*t! My friend was like 'its better than GTA IV' and sh*t like that. Its one of the worst games I've ever played. I can't believe I was actually thinking of getting it.
