Hey Ryda, thanks very much i appreciate it. Yea i really enjoy those little things in these open world games which are always one of the best things that make it so much more interactive.

In the last video released the Sleeping Dogs First 15 it shows the beginning of the game, and a lot of those little things with the npc's doing things that i have not seen in other games, which is good for us.

I dont know if you guys saw the first 15 video some spoilerish as it is the first part of the game, but the npcs/other little things that i have observed are rain effects are really nice with wind effects blowing, npc's arguing, npcs coming out of their apartmenr balcon one is stretching and one dumps water out of a bucket.

Two guys playing dominos on the ground, an npc going to the market and actually looking to buy clothes from the store, another npc buys a drink right after Wei purchases the drink. Lighting in the air were also present, and police spot lights. Some nice little things that when walking around Hong Kong i hope we always see and hopefully we will see police chasing someone in the streets and or car chases.

Yeah, the graphics are crazy insanely awesome. Are there any confirmations for the customization of the character? Clothing stores, hair-cuts etc?

Yeah, you can change clothes. I don't know about hair though. Also, the clothes actually have benfits rather just than just fancy threads. If you combine certain clothes or jsut wear part of an outfit, you get special abilities or upgrades.

I wonder if they'll put a True Crime easter egg or two in there. Back when it was still True Crime: Hong Kong, I was hoping that Nick Kang made a cameo, but even then, I wasn't holding my breath. I heard it was coming back as Sleeping Dogs and got very excited, but then read that they didn't buy the series. I wasn't necessarily bummed out, though.
Here's hoping the game is really good, and doesn't just look it.

Why is there almost no marketing for this game? are square enix that goddamn cheap? It's a new IP and it will be 100% thier fault if the game flopped (will happen if they didn't market the sh*t out of it)

From what I've found over the net it doesn't imply that. I hope there will be also demo for consoles.

Oh that's nice.

This game seems to be focused more on brawling than shooting. That's a rare thing in free roaming games. Bully was also focused more (almost entirely) on brawling and it was awesome. Proof that you don't need guns to have fun in a free roaming environment.

Glad there's a demo, I feel this game needs to convince me a little more so that's a good opportunity for it to do so. Just Cause 2's demo made me more hyped for the game than anything, so maybe SD can do the same.

I hope they don't pull the time limit sh*t they did with JC2...
It actually put me off buying it.
Burnout Paradise demo was perfect.
It had no time limit, it had a small but reasonable area of the map, one car, and some challenges, and it kept me busy until the game released.

It didn't give you too much, and it didn't give you too little.
It was perfect.

Can't remember where I read it, but I read somewhere the demo's gonna be on PC, 360, and PS3. Can't wait for it myself.

Yea JC2 with it's demo and me having no knowledge of that game, sold me. I can remember taking the day off just for it, so that was a smart move by Square to do so. Since Square took over the publishing i was thinking that a demo would be almost a guarentee and a smart move, even if we just get the night market chase.

Even though not playing the game, and my love for open world games, it is correct that you do have to play it to get that feeling in your stomach and mind that this is the game for you.

If you think of the psn store updates left we have July 24th, July 31, and August 7th before release, bringing it out on release day tuesday wouldnt be so wise i would think.

So i will throw my hat in the ring and say July 31st demo give people two weeks to soak in the game, just imo.

Oy, that facial animation and lip-syncing is kind of horrid. Reminds me of Mafia 2. The actual gameplay looks fun so I'll just believe that the reason for the horridness is because it's meant to replicate the dubbed Hong Kong action films. tounge.gif
