I'm really surprised, Sleeping Dogs is only $45 USD on the Australian Steam store, usually they sell new games for $90 for us.
At 45 bucks launch, it might not be so bad for the money.

Yes, we all love GTA. That's why we're all here in the first place. And no, Sleeping Dogs car handling is probably not as good as GTA IV car handling. Will that stop the game from being good fun? Of course not. Don't dismiss the game on the basis that it's not like GTA. The fact that it's not like GTA should be considered a good thing. Too many developers are trying to copy other successful franchises.

But the vehicle handling looks terrible, i hope i can cope with it. I wonder what the magazine means with that its doing a few things better than the competition actually. If they are talking about arcade stuff like being able to ram cars with one button press..sorry...probably really nice for Sleeping Dogs but i don't want that in GTA. Same goes with the fast-hijacking of cars, which is taken straight out of Wheelman.

My heart is telling me to buy this game but my mind is telling me to wait for a sale or price drop. One of the main reasons I'd buy this game is to fill the void GTA V will be leaving this year.

After watching streams of the game I don't think I'm buying it yet. It reminds me to much of True Crime and I wasn't a big fan of that. Also the missions seem a little repetitive and the game is a little on the short side. Not only that but Darksiders 2 is out a week later and all my time will go on that game so this game will collect dust. Not 100% decided yet so I'll wait a little longer before I decide.

You can see from the videos that the driving is horrific. It looks even lighter than SR3 (I didn't know that was possible). Stop blindly fanboying already.

This game looks like a lot of fun and the DirectX 11 Features video as well as the new trailer sure changed my opinion about it, visually, at the very least.

So what if the driving is worse than IV? It won't kill the game for me. I am craving open-world right now, and without V this is what I am turning to, to fill that void. It may not be GTA, but it looks decent enough and fun. Sure as hell looks better than the steaming pile of crap that SR3 was. My God do I regret pre-ordering that one.

Trying to get the willpower to not watch a Let's Play and spoil it for myself, but I've watched half of one.

Tried downloading DCUO to last me for two weeks, but it's just sh*tty.

Anyway, the guy playing in some vids had terrible music taste (he put the classic station on) but I got a quick look at some stations.

It's epic that when English is spoken on the radio it has an epic English accent. Reminds me of home.

That video review is horrible. How can you review a game you played for 40 minutes to two hours?
