Just been browsing the web, seeing if there was any information on the next instalment of the Timesplitters series, and the main thing I got back was that the game was on hold, but due to Free Radical being taken over, the game was delayed until 'there was high demand for the game'.

Timesplitters had always been one of my top FPS games, due to the humour it had in the game. TS2 was a great game IMO, but Future Perfect took the game in the wrong direction for me.

Anyone else hoping that the next instalment comes out, or does anyone actually care anymore?

TimeSplitters 2 was the best PS2 FPS game ever, and it's underrated as f*ck. I hope they make a new one, but future perfect was hardly even futuristic.

I hope they continue the timesplitters, I had hours of fun on Timesplitters 2 on the ps2, that was such a great game.

Multiplayer was great for a few hours, but then slowly got boring. The missions themselves were good aswell, and reall varied, but a few of them were so annoyingly hard that it made me give the game up.

I really wish they would bring this game back, especially with these next-gen graphics; could produce some really massive levels and some quite ingenious characters.

TS was put together by some of the people who did the original Golden Eye so it always had that smooth gliding FPS movement. I really enjoy the games, characters and challenges as well but that last one was a bit crap. The story has never been particularly strong for these despite the fact that they were pretty fun so I hope they keep that in mind if they ever make an update.

Timesplitters 2 was one of my most favourite games on the previous gen consoles. Single player and multiplayer was so much fun. Future Perfect was also a decent game but it wasn't as good as number 2. I hope the developers do announce a new Timesplitters in the near future.

It always seemed to me that they concentrated on the multiplayer aspects of the game more than the single player experience, which was a shame since with all the characters featured in the game, only like 20% of them feautured in the single player story.

im well surprised nothing has come out, a few years back there was a minor press release, just an image of a monkey in a gears of war logo

but like everyone else said TS2 ftw, what a game, imagine time splitters online? how fun could that be.

Old post I know, but the point of the title "Future Perfect" had absolutely nothing to do with the game trying to be "futuristic", if you had paid attention when playing it you'd realize it's about all the wormholes Cortez jumps through to help his past self out.

Quick search, and it seems that it's still the same news. They are in serious talks about getting a new TS game on the way, but for some reason something is holding them up.

i hadnt been keeping up to date for ages, its one of those games i forgot how good it was, online for it could be awesome, wipe the floor with COD if it had a lot of the modes i remember from ts2

Free Radical, or whoever may be developing this new game, need to realise the fact that alot of people are getting bored with these 'realistic' FPS online games, and need to bring this game out ASAP. TS was already fun just playing MP with the A.I bots, so imagine 12-16 monkeys running around a map trying to kill each other with the Monkey Gun, or running everyone over in the jeep. I honestly haven't seen an FPS game like TS for ages now, if ever, so I'd love to see this game come out.

My favourite part of ts2 was the splitscreen which you don't see very often anymore, it's definitely one of my most played games ever after the gta games, sp campaign was good in many different ways and the splitscreen never got boring, I hope they decide to carry on the series.

I wasted most of my primary school life with TS2 and FP's arcade mode, just playing with two teams monkeys with one hit kill on... and the mapmaker, oh the mapmaker! Second only to Far Cry's. I hope that Four actually gets released

i didnt personally bother much with the map making, but yeah there is so much potential there especially with next gen gaming, and i totally agree butters, there's a big gap for a really good non serious fps, i used to play a lot of splitscreen too, virus mode with my little brother was always fun, gladiator mode too was... come on free radical / crytek !

i havent played borderlands, but how does that compare to timesplitters?

Slamman, seriously, if you're going to bump old topics, at least give some info or something.

And by info, I mean something more along the lines of a link that actually provides some information, rather than just saying some words.
