Yep. Can't wait to own the trilogy and obsess over it, analyze it, love it and generally adore it.

I don't own a single one of the movies for some reason. And now I know it's because I was meant to buy a hypothetical trilogy box set. It was fate all these years that stayed my hands from buying the first two movies, when I actually had them in my hands and was about to take them to what ever register I was at. But something stopped me.

I only have the prior two on DVD and its been really tempting getting them on Blu-Ray but I'm trying to hold out and get the entire trilogy on Blu-Ray.

Same here. I'll pick up the trilogy boxset on blu ray but I'll also get the DVD release to complete that collection.

Just saw it in IMAX, oh yes. Oh f*cking yes. It was amazing, the sound was earth-shattering but that might be a little but of an exaggeration, the sound is what makes IMAX to be honest. When the banging OST by Hans Zimmer is being played in the background to explosions and fighting, it makes you feel totally immersed within the film. IMAX is well worth the price, I've already seen it in the cinemas and if you would like to know what I thought about it then it is a couple of pages back smile.gif. Go see it in IMAX if you got some cash and while you still got a chance!

You know what I love the most about the sound in IMAX?

Plane which Bane was in and The Bat. I swear to god I turned around because it felt like the thing was coming from behind me. It was awesome.

Oh yeah man, the beginning sequence with Bane in the plane and the soundtrack and the airplane, I could literally feel adrenaline pumping through my veins and my stomach. Amazing.

I've been thinking about something. I think that prison was supposed to be called The Lazarus Pit. At least in the early draft of the story. Actually I'm sure of it. It would make perfect sense in Nolan's version of the story.

It IS a Lazarus Pit, I swear I read that somewhere, it explains why Bruce managed to recover from his back injury.

New in this topic so forgive me if this has been asked before but...

Had Heath not passed away, would the Joker have made an appearance in the Dark Knight Rises? It's just Scarecrow kept coming back, as did Ra's al Ghul (Due to his importance in the series), Dent was mentioned a lot but couldn't make an appearance because he died.

So with the previous villains recurring, and the situation with Gotham (It being unlawful and out of control, something Joker would relish), not to mention the fact that the Joker always comes back, would he have got outta Arkham and made an appearance?

I think I remember Nolan saying he definitely had plans to have the Joker in the third movie. But in a lesser capacity. Rumors were even saying he was going to help Batman.

Seeing it at IMAX was the best experience I've had at a theater. If I get rich, I'll get my own private IMAX theater.

@Domeux: If Heath was still around, I'm sure it would've been a very different movie. I just can't see The Joker not having a huge role - he's The Joker. But, I think The Joker just "disappearing" isn't as out of place as it would seem. The Joker came out of nowhere in the first place and then disappeared just as fast. It's logical for his character.

This site HERE says the Novelization claims Joker is the only remaining prisoner in Arkham...gives this nice little comic strip as an idea what it means:

Why did Heath have to die? What an amazing actor. And what an amazing character he brought to life. It's a f*ckin' tragedy. When I first heard of his death I was both sad and angry. I think I still am.

Yeah, not my favorite Joker, but still a masterpiece.

Out of all the deaths of public figures, Heath's was the worst. It was such a complete f*cking shame. I mean, god. I still wonder what could've been.

The greatest stand alone movie EVER. Imagine American Psycho meets Hannibal meets every other f*cked up movie but with The Joker as the star!

I don't like it if the Joker would have just been there to be part of an anecdote. Even if it's the smart move on Bane's part, considering you know Joker would have made a power play to take control.

I liked Crane's cameo. It felt like it suits the character to be in that position. Would have been better if it were Two-Face, though. But they had to go and kill him. My only gripe, if you can call it that, with the Dark Knight. But it makes more sense in a realistic representation.

Makes you wonder though... if Heath was still alive, what would his role have been in DKR? I think he would have been the person running the kangaroo court rather than Crane. Can you imagine?

An anarchist running a court? No chance. He'd have a much bigger role in things.

Yeah, I really don't think The Joker would have had anything to do with that. I'm sure that role was created for Crane.
