Oh, I'm not from the 80s (born in really early 90s ) but damn, I grew up with all the music from then! However this thread has reminded me of some epic songs.

By the way, if you look on YouTube's 1980's music videos, you'll find that a lot of 14-16 year olds are digging 80s music - if only they all felt that way.

Can't stop listening to talk talk. Mostly known for songs like "Lifes what you make it", which is a real shame considering most of their other songs are on par or far better.

Oh man, I love 80's music (I wish I was born earlier). Most of my favourite songs have been posted already. My favourite artists from the 80's are: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie & Queen.

I understand it is an opinion, but really? What about the revelations in music during the 60s and 70s?
I'm really curious as to whether music past the 80s will ever have it's time or a place in people's hearts? I think the 90s my have some tid bits of grandeur, but still. I ask because I was a young adult in the 80s and it cracks me up how much me and all my friends at the time absolutely hated, and were utterly embarrassed by, 80s music.
My wife gets embarsed when I load up a bunch of 80s tracks while playing games. I know she secretly enjoys them though - she is just stubborn and holding onto the hate of the 80s music she had some 30yrs ago or whatever.
This is a classic in my opinion, one of the first 80's songs i heard, and it's pretty good if you ask me, i mean it might be very sort of what people would call these days "Girly" but for f*ck'a sake, wake up she's got a good voice!!
