I find 80s alternative quite interesting, gives me a vibe similar to early 90s alternative.

A Beatles cover, but still.

Favorite 80's metal album: Ride the Lightning

What I love about 80s music is that in most of the songs, the backgrounds have echoes (especially drums) which gives more depth to the music. A couple years ago Dream Theater released a best of, with earlier tracks such as Pull Me Under, remastered into a more "modern" sound. The result to me is really bland and actually makes the songs less epic.
(Yes I know Pull Me Under is from 90s but you get the idea)

Also, synth rock band The Birthday Massacre's latest album has a strong 80's vibe.

I love 80's music. The best decade for music in my opinion. Some many great and memorable tunes. I don't know what is but nothing before or after the 80's comes close for me. I remember the first time I heard 80's music was playing Vice City and I was blown away. I have so many favourite tracks and albums it would be impossible to name them all but a top 10 would like this:

Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane
Toto - Africa
a-ha- Take On Me
Jermaine Stewart - We Don't Have To Take Our Cloths Off
Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal
Stan Bush - The Touch
Scandel - The Warrior
The Human League - Don't You Want Me
Spandu Ballet - To Cut A Long Story Short
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax

My name is The Killa and this is the greatest thread on GTAforums.com, or your money back. Actually just give me your money.

80's will forever remain the best music period of all time. Ever, forever. I love it so deeply, it's just beyond anything I could describe.

Everyone has linked my favorite ones, so I'll do another one mine:

And yes, Vice City is my favorite game.

Thanks to my attractive sister and step sister I ended up spending a week getting totally f*cked up with Loverboy, during the height of that album tounge.gif

Gotta add a little Tommy Tutone to the mix.

Edit:
because this picture just showed up on the front of Yahoo.

So let's pay tribute to the man from the 80s before he changed away from his stage name.

My fav song is "Don't You Want Me Baby" by the Human League but that song was already posted, so I'll just put up some Duran Duran

originally i can see eye of a tiger being a really good song, but the shear amount of times it has been used in actioned packed intro's i have lost all taste for it.

This is THE best thread, ever.

I love this song, my favourite from Duran Duran but I get the feeling it's underrated:

Also, gotta love some Hall & Oats:

And f*cking love me some New Order:

By the way, I find it sickening that the sh*tty Uniting Nations remix of Out of Touch is the most viewed version on Youtube.
I mean, it's just a bunch of okay looking women shaking their camel toes at a card table with the songs chorus playing in the background (yes, I watched it biggrin.gif); that's the modern music industry for ya.
