| QUOTE (Lightning Strike @ Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 04:18) | | I'd say that playing as a mage is definitely the funnest and most diverse style of play. | Yeah, my friend plays as a mage and he said it's probably one of the most challenging, but satisfying experiences of Skyrim. I'm not sure if I could do it; I'm definitely a hack and slash kind of person.
I downloaded Dawnguard last night and started playing it. So far, I'm enjoying some of the new enemies.

| QUOTE (GTASAIDEAMASTER @ Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 01:04) | So,to those who answered.I am using novice robes and hood with some enchanted bracers, amulet and ring(I enchanted it).I haven't had a follower nor I thought of it since I had Sven(or what his idiot name is),a dog and 3 horses die because of me.So,does someone have a suggestion for a follower?I do not want an archer(Sven died, hagravens) or a dog. Also a spell would be nice..I have Basic spells on other focusings of magic like Restoration(Healing),conjuration(Conjure familiar, raise zombie, bound sword is a conjuration aswell I believe),Illusion(Courage, which I believe belongs here).I might have some more, and since I'm a destruction mage(looking to master destruction before branching out) I have the main spells I use here, which are frostbite(use it against flame atronatches and not much else),firebolt(the single spell that seems to do actual damage on a wisp mother, also it is a long range spell),flames(killing falmer, chaurus, frost trolls,trolls,people...) and sparkles(wolves, dwarven sh*t)
I need some hints on how to kill a goddamn wispmother.I hide behind a wall and show up quick, she shoots the 3 frost spikes and I shoot a firebolt.Best working thing I got to kill the bitch. | I'm going to say this again, you need to upgrade your gear. Novice apparel are basically only a virtual advantage, so as soon as you level up in any school of magic and unlock better apparel (0-25 Novice, 25-50 Apprentice, 50-75 Adept, 75-99 Expert, 100 Master, correct me if I'm wrong), make sure to upgrade ASAP. Also, completing the College Of Winterhold questline has a pretty neat reward in the end. As far as followers go, I'd recommned J'Zargo from the College Of Winterhold; as far as I remember, he's the only follower who's able to level up to 81 or the hangaround from the inn in Riften who's also a mage. Also, make sure to provide them with some proper gear. For spells, make sure to match your magicka expertise with how you play without magic; if you like to be stealth, focus on Illusion (muffle, quiet casting and invisibilty ftw) and Conjuration - this way you can proceed through caves without lifting a finger yourself - or if you're a warrior, focus on Destruction and Restoration, et cetera. Like Joseph X said, it's important to remember that every Destruction spell has it's own function, which is also important to remember while fighting dragons (frost spells kill fire dragons quicker and vice versa).

Should I wait for another update to buy this game? |
Dude, the "Lag Issue" on the PS3 was removed in Patch 1.4 ..... |
Thanks. Does anyone know when Dawnguard is being released? Also what about the Game of the Year Edition? | PS3 release date's not yet been confirmed, there's also no new on any future DLC's/GOTY Editions of the game.
