hmm, i quite like that idea

the only problem is that san andreas police cars have 4 doors, so i would have to make some invisible doors for it, so it doesn't crash the game...
i might do a police version of my Soviet Taxi mod too

i made a start on a police version, just set it up and added invisible back doors, and a quick in-game test...
i still have to make the lights on the roof, and all the police stickers..

also tonight, i finished the fiesta.. well almost.. i built the dashboard, and fixed all sorts of problems.. i will do some more testing, and release an update within the next few days

I was thinking of a British style RS500 police car, it would be epic to see a San Andreas version

Do you have any plans to make a concept out of any of your models, for example Estate RS500

an RC version would be possible, but its a lot of polygons as it is, so it would be mega-overkill if i shrank it.. i would probably have to build it all again for a mini version..

the police version got started the other day, so far it has some red/orange stripes, but thats all so far.
unfortunately i have too much work to do any modding this week...

i have a few police version of things planned (including a sierra and a fiesta, and a version based on my crazy Soviet Taxi)

sorry i didnt answer your other post, im not sure about concepts really, its such a massive task making a car accurately, normally once i have fixed all the bugs, i want to escape and make something completely different..

if you like this, you should try my Fiesta XR2, it was built along side this, and is about the same level of detail...


It was a long 6 months building this.. i almost went crazy from looking at the same thing for too long...
(note, crazy is relative.. i was already crazy, but building this and the fiesta XR2 made me even more nuts )

a police version will probably appear soonish, but i dont want to set any dates or deadlines, i hate being rushed..

You make some really nice mods Chong but why do you always have to use a custom British number plate? I'd be using all of your cars were it not for this as they don't fit in with all the other mods I have, especially because all yours have exactly the same plate. I think it'd be better if you added another download to each of the GTAG pages with SA license plates dude.

i don't really like the gta style plates, thats why i always add a British plate (I am British so its what i'm used to)

the plate texture can be easily changed by editing the txd
use "TxdWorkshop" to extract the .bmp files, then edit and import back to the txd

a font for British plates can be found on google, so you can make it say whatever you like, or you can add a different style of plate if you like - i think most European plates will fit ok...

Hey Chong awesome RS500 and stuff but I was wondering if you could maybe consider a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth or maybe other 80's and 90's fast saloons and hatchbacks. Cavalier 4x4 SRi?

a sapphire cosworth is a possibility, but Tann3r is already working on one. (with my sapphire wheels on it )

i do plan to make more 1980s classics, but considering it takes about 5 or 6 months per car (for this level of detail) i doubt they will be soon


i am working on a few projects at the moment, and have some updates and new releases coming in the next few months, including:

* Runaground - a road legal speedboat - coming soon (see my facebook page or my website for more)
* some bug fixes for my Reliant 3 wheelers
* an update for my Fokker DR1 to fix the high-quality shadows model, and some other bugs
* some new versions of my "flying carpet" mod, with flags on (ask me on my website if you want your country added)
* Saab 92001 "Ursaab" final work and release
* 2 skodas to finish
* and probably some other semi-forgotten stuff

the police version of the sierra was abandoned, i might have another go at some point, but it involved a lot of editing, so current projects have taken priority for now.. its on my list though =]
