Yeah, the series finale of House was really well done - I think they could have pulled off the twist a little stronger though - we knew it right away. I guess that just goes to show how well developed and beloved the character had become!

Yes, the scene where the building collapsed wasn't all that dramatic, which made the twist obvious. Still, it's one of the best finales to a TV show I've ever seen. Most shows end badly. These guys managed to end the show in a way that's true to House's character. Which is all I wanted.

I am a huge House fan myself, and I saw the last episode yesterday, and I also thought he was still alive, until the moment that the dental records confirmed it was him. But the moment that Wilsons phone was ringing, I knew he was still alive, and then he just sat there, on the stairs. And I had really the same emotion as Wilson at that moment...

It was just the perfect end for the series. icon14.gif

I'm a bit jealous that I can't view that link. It seems pretty damn desirable given what I've heard.

I liked seasons 3 and 4 better than 2. The suspense and tension of Dexter and Jimmy Smits or John Lithgow is unparalleled. Of course season 5 took a big dump, and season 6 was just so-so.

well thats personal preference smile.gif for mer i loved 1 and 2. the revelation at the end of 1 that the ice truck killer is dester's real brother was like wow.gif I knew it was him from when we saw him but still it was well played how they revealed it and the end of ep 11 was like oh f*ck sh*t has hit the fan I honestly thought deb was gonna die

as for season 2 it reminded me of an anime called death note and I loved how doakes found out about dexter knew from episode 1 it would happen though as he was always snooping, but the way events played out then were jsut brilliant the on downside of this season was the british bitch. good character at first but became anoying later on

loved season 3 as the antagonist was not a serial killer it was an enemy who stuck to the keep your friends close and enemies closer method and played dexter brilliantly

and season 4 was just brilliant. it was funnier, and the trinity killer was amazing. the greatest trick the devil pulled was convincing the world he did not exist and he was a serial killer who was not known, only lundi saw the pattern and suspected that it was the work of a serial killer who has been active for 30 years. f*cking genious

I did not like season 5, the antagonist was meh but the relationship between lumen and dexter was nice, astor turned into a bitch

I liked season 6 quite a lot personally. well acted out, good antagonist, 2 big twists however both were obvious, The Gellar thing was just wel yeah kinda screaming out and i knew that deb would find out from the end of series 1 only surprise was she actually jsut saw it, i thought she would figure it out as she had all the pieces she needed. only question remains is will she figure out that he is the bay harbor butcher not doakes

looking forward to series 7

Oh, for Christ's sake, it's good fun. It's not supposed to be Tolstoy on television. It's good, campy fun. I thought it was great. "I am a gay vampire American!" might just be my favorite subplot.

I admit, it's a guilty pleasure. But season 1 and 2 were so good, I was really disappointed in the direction they took with all the other supernatural creatures. It felt a bit forced.

I was not surprised to find out that a woman Pete Campbell would have an affair with also needs electro-shock treatment. Just seems...right.

Stop at around halfway through season 2. You'll thank me.

Mad Men's finale ruled. I love the show because Weiner knows how to set up visually pleasing shots perfectly with the general sentiment of the era. A James Bond theme and a return to the Old Fashioned. Great stuff.

Mad Men's finale ruled.

Really? I thought it went out with an exhausted whimper considering the last episodes were progressively ramping up the drama. Don is gonna be Don again, and it looks like the marriage is over. One step forward, two seasons backward. I hope Don's life is ruined at the show's end. He just seems to be a dickhead deep in his core and deserving of some comeuppance. He has good moments, and has proven to have a heart. But that doesn't mean he's not still a raging dickhead. Or maybe I'm just feeling cynical writing this.

The season should've ended with Lane's death. That was devastating.

I agree, I don't think the finale was as strong as the previous episodes but I wouldn't call the finale a whimper. Loved the ending though, been playing 'You only live twice' exhaustively since. How do y'all Mad Men fans think the show is going to end, supposedly the seventh season will be the last. So the show has got to end in 1970, right? Here's a "leaked" page from Matthew Weiner's script for the last episode (Fake)

Click for hilarity.
