Hello everyone,
Today, I'm going to review the missions of
Platinum Card's
No Fear Inferno:Chapter I series. This mission pack can be downloaded at:
http://dyom.gtagames.nl/?act=show&id=20409 .
Now let's start the reviews...
- Writing: Excellent, as they're pretty much written in a way they normally should be in english. Though, I noticed a very few amount of mistakes, they're hardly detracts of whole written experience.
- Presentation: Very Good. Most characters make alot of corporal expressions with a large amount of animations, which are pretty neat, though they aren't jaw-dropping.
No Fear: Inferno- Length: Very Short, as it can be done in 2 minutes. This mission shows the introduction of the main character calling herself Hana Tsu Vachel learning Earth science at her school.
- Difficulty: Very Easy, as the mission lacks any dangerous actions that the player has to go through. It's mainly composed of cutscenes.
- Variety: Decent. There's Hana and her car, her professor and some few students attending the same school as Hana, that's about it.
No Fierro- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. This mission shows Hana facing a nightmarish event, where she was about to be raped by an old man called himself Grinch inside her apartment.
- Difficulty: Easy. There's a few not-so-far driving and some brawl fight to be done against one enemy with a low HP. Other than these, there's a good amount of cutscenes.
- Variety: Good. There's Hana and her car, the Grinch and his dildo, and characters and vehicles in which makes reference from another series.
Nightmares Of The Past 1- Length: Very Short, as it can be done in 2 minutes. This mission shows Hana fleeing Las Venturas to San Fierro because of her fear against the Grinch.
- Difficulty: Very Easy, as the mission lacks any dangerous actions that the player has to go through. It's mainly composed of cutscenes.
- Variety: Good. There's Hana with her new car, a taxi woman with her cab, a flight attendant, a signal worker and a passenger plane.
Nightmares Of The Past 2- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. This mission shows Hana going into her new apartment in San Fierro. While sleeping, she got a memory of her past when her parents were about to be killed.
- Difficulty: Very Easy. There's quite a lengthy driving to do, but since there's no cars or pedestrians, the player will less likely to do any accidents. Otherwise, there's a good amount of cutscenes.
- Variety: Good. There's Hana with her new car, her father, her mother and some hitmans with pistols that she remembered from her past.
Paragon Horizons- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. This missions shows Hana meeting a man called himself Deke, who the latter invites her to a building place called Paragon Horizons to met Gin via a monitor.
- Difficulty: Very Easy. There's quite a lengthy driving to do, but since there's no cars or pedestrians, the player will less likely to do any accidents. Otherwise, there's a good amount of cutscenes.
- Variety: Good. There's Hana, Deke with his car, a senile man called Gin, elevator metallic platforms and sofas. No guns can be seen.
Long Road - Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. In this mission, Deke instructs Hana to go to Los Santos from San Fierro so he gives her more details about her mission once being there.
- Difficulty: Easy. There's quite a lengthy driving to do and cars and pedestrians are everywhere, in which prompts the player to be more careful. Otherwise, there's a good amount of cutscenes.
- Variety: Decent. There's Hana with her gifted car and Deke with his car. That's about it.
Sand Relic- Length: Good, as it can be done in 6 minutes. In this mission, Deke instructs Hana to go to Santa Maria Beach in LS to dig a sand relic with a shovel. She later meets a couple in a Muholland's mansion.
- Difficulty: Easy. There's quite a lengthy driving to do and cars and pedestrians are everywhere, in which prompts the player to be more careful, especially when there's a sandstorm.
- Variety: Good. There's Hana with another gifted car, a flag, a shovel, a booklet, a punching bag, a cold drink seller Mrs. Rhodes and the mansion's couple Jordan and Rain.
Home Run/Sand Relic Finale- Length: Decent, as it can be done in 4 minutes. This mission shows, Hana and Rain fighting against Redneck relics and his boys inside a town's bar. No driving involved.
- Difficulty: Normal. The player and her ally must brawl fight against a good amount of foes with a decent amount of HP. It's easy to get hit by the enemies, so focus on one enemy at a time.
- Variety: Very good. There's Hana with her car, Rain, Redneck relics and his boys with their pool cues, knifes, metal knuckles, dildos and beers, bar clients, and the sand relic with a flag.
Overall, the mission are good, especially since it is a story driven series. Personally, it would be a little bit better if there's a little bit more challenging actions in these missions, even though I'm aware that it isn't easy to do so since Hana isn't a kind of character who is willing to use guns. Anyways, great job for the author and keep up the great work

On a side note, this missions series has a total of 9 missions, but only 8 missions are reviewed because mission 2 "Business Pleasure" just crashed on me.
