i have GTA IV for xbox 360.
but i wanna play it in PC. so does anybody know the requirements to play GTA IV on PC in Maximum settings with no lag at all?

You will need a quad at 4GHz or and I7 (better) and a Fermi or at least a GTX 285 (with 1GB VRAM minimum) as I haven't seen the 5000 ATI series running this game that well. Even with this it's hard to say if the performance will meet your expectations.

but, my cousin had a single 512 EVGA Nvidia 9800 GTX+, 2.6GHz AMD Phenom Quad Core Black Edition, 4GB ram and i saw him playing GTA IV on his 50 inch TV in Max Graphics with no lag at all...

but i guess i'll just buy something newer

im sorry if this is in the wrong place could some tel me how well gta4 and eflc would play on a intel celeron d 3.06ghz nvidia 9600 gt 1gb and 2gb ram ddr2 i thnk

Ain't gonna be good enough, depends if the Celeron is a quad.

What grafics setting wil it be ok on if it a single core?

I won't run well on a single core, especially celeron, on any setting.

this could help you if yo want 2 play gta smoother if yot got an ATI grafics card search,hyper memory,and if u gt NVIDIA search for,turbo cache on google,they are drivers that change ur system ram into vram

These figures seem unbelievable to me.

GTA 4 max settings require like the best Core i7, overclocked obviously, 64 bit os for lots of FAST ddr3 ram, 480GTX or something, then you get like +30 fps on max full 100% ultra uber settings provided you get rid of all problems.

To Run GTA IV ON highest settings in pc you need the following spec-
CPU-Intel I7 2600k 4.0ghz
RAM-4gb ddr3
Graphics Card- nvidia gtx 460 or better
And a good operating system - I would recommend windows 7 ultimate
and to play it lag free you can use game booster
My PC Spec-
Intel I7 985x 3.6ghz
8gb ddr3 ram
nvidia gtx 680 3gb
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I can run gta iv with more than 55 fps in highest settings
