Hi, I want to show you how you can make colorfull model, like this:

user posted image

So .. first, you must have a model.
Once you have a model, go to Modifier List -> Vertex Paint

Set the Channel to "Vertex Color" (look the image)

http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/8666/tut1k.png

Then go to Tools - Assign Vertex Colors, select "Vertex Color" from Channel
and then press Assign to selected (your model must be selected)

http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/3262/tut2u.png

So, this is for Day Vertex Colors.

--------------------------------

Now, for NVC, go to Modifier List -> Vertex Paint again and this time select 'Vertex Illum'
from Channel. Select the brush and choose a color. You can change the opacity and the size of the brush.

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/9909/tut3r.png

If you're ready, this time DO NOT open 'Assign Vertex Colors', just go to KAM's or DENISka's max
scripts and export.

Note: If you use Kam's Max Scripts, turn off the MMC and NOR (the yellow buttons), just select UV and VCol.

I hope you understand it smile.gif

Sorry for my EN confused.gif

Great and simple tut ;D cookie.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif As i remember, the night vertex colors (Vert. Illumination) are implemented to SA not VC, in Vc there are only simple "All time"Vertex Colors am i correct?

Nice tut, I'm gonna test this biggrin.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif cookie.gif

Edit: Nice, it works. I tried with Kam's script with UV and Vcol selected buttons only and it didn't exported nvc, but deniska's did.

Do you converted it to editable mesh, when you made the Day Vertex Colors?
You don't need to convert it when you add NVC (Illumination-Illum) smile.gif
