Good morning/afternoon/evening.

I'm sure this topic has been discussed, but I didn't exactly want to get killed for bumping and I couldn't find a previous thread relating.

Anyway, I believe it would be nice if the protagonist of V was a woman; it's long overdue. The last game to have the ability to play as a woman WITHOUT modding the game and through a single player campaign is the original GTA's mission pack set in London. R* is long overdue for a woman, I'd think. I've been hoping for a GTA game with a female protagonist for a long time. Maybe now's the time?

And no. I don't simply feel this way for the boobs. I don't get 'erocktions' from video games.

Also, when Niko'la' is threatening Faustin before 'she' kills him he would have just laughed in 'her' face!

San andreas sold faster than gta 4 too.(first 2 years) plus san andreas was orginally released only on one console.

What? GTA4 was that fastest selling GTA game if i remember right, and i think it got a record before being undeservingly beat by MW2.

I find men to be better protagonist. Women should just accept their already huge role in the world. Women can use sex to influence men.

Women also get a lot of benefits like "ladies first" and will get huge amounts of support if they're... abused by their spouse, or even raped for example. No such support for men exists.


I'd say the 2 genders even out, but for a crime-related thing, men are usually better at it. They're also better at playing evil people. I can't think of any women who can portray someone evil, as well as Peter Stormare or William Dafoe. And I can't picture a woman ever coming across as eccentric and crazy as Steve Buscemi in Fargo.

Men can get frustrated and profoundly angry. They are probably responsible for most atrocities in history. So men can be more compelling and evil; but when a woman is evil, it's often just to try and get back at men.


Women have no reason to envy any of these traits really.


Women can't have everything men can have, and vice-versa, as men never ever get to use sex as an influence or bribe.

Only way a woman can be truly evil, is when she's seducing men and then killing them. A men-hater.

Because the main reasons that it sold were a huge map, tonnes of stuff to do and the facet that III and VC were amazing, I certainly didn't buy the game because "oh awesome we can play as a stereotypical gang banger black guy, and don't know anyone who did, however a map that is of the scale of SA would be amazing, especially if it was based on Miami and Cuba

I have been looking into it and in the U.S.A, as of 2008, statistics report that of 16,277 murders, 10,568 were committed by males, 1,176 were by female, and 4,533 were committed in which the offenders sex was unknown.

That is a difference of 9392 murders which is a very large difference. See why woman aren't the protaganists in GTA?

Most people i know bought it because we played as a guy who we can relate too, we didnt have net access at the time so we knew nothing about it having a countryside and what not

most average people bought SA either for the big map of the gang banging. and guess whos buying gta mostly- not serious gamers, but average kids/teens. and a lot of that most was the gang banging, thats why i bought it

As for a female protagonist...I'm not really sure! I mean, I don't think I'd hate it, but then again, I can't see myself liking it too much either. It's all about how it's presented really.
