| QUOTE (GTAvanja @ Monday, Sep 17 2012, 01:29) | | Rosetti is awesome... A hothead, but bound to be a very fun character. |
yeah the thing about Rosetti is that he might not be around long enough to be a fun character. his temper, the way he insults everyone no matter how powerful they are? it's like he's already trying to sign his own death certificate. I can't believe how he disrespected everyone @ Nucky's party. those guys have killed for much less. | QUOTE (EscoLehGo @ Monday, Sep 17 2012, 08:01) | | I probably just would've done a clean 180 if I walked in on a situation like that with Al Capone. |
in 1922 you wouldn't know who Al Capone is | QUOTE (GTAvanja @ Monday, Sep 17 2012, 09:19) | | I used to hate that religious zealot. But he's so awesome now. |
yeah man, Van Alden is actually one of the deepest and most complex characters in the whole show. I don't care if characters are "good" or "bad," I just love characters that are highly intricate and difficult to figure out. most people in the show are pretty straightforward, and that's fine. but Van Alden is easily the most ambiguous and least predictable of everyone who has ever appeared on Boardwalk. and that makes him incredibly interesting. not to mention that Michael Shannon is an amazing actor. watching him on screen is a real treat. he steals whatever scene he's in.

| QUOTE (Don Garcia @ Monday, Sep 17 2012, 15:04) | Gyp's line to Nucky was the best: "And then there's you, a f*cking breadstick in a bowtie." I laughed out loud.
I don't see Gyp killing Nucky. They're gonna keep to the real life of the character he's based off of, meaning he'll end up going to jail at the series' end. Most likely.
Oh, and...did Richard kill that dude on behalf of Nucky, because he asked for his own warehouse, or was that personal revenge for Jimmy? | Didn't think about that. I don't think he'd work for Nucky, though. He probably did it partially for Jimmy and partially for Jimmy's wife, since he had a thing for her.
