RVP will go to City.

Most probably but its not like City need him. It wouldn't surprise me however if he went to another country.

Bobby's been sniffing around him for a while now, so it wouldn't surprise me, just need to get rid of some of the dead weight like Manny Addie and Santa Claus. Tevez only has about 1 year to run on his contract anyway (I think) and no-one has asked yet so we'll probably let him go a free at the end of the season, probably so he's nearer to home... like Italy.

As for Rangers, just been told by a mate that Rangers would need a 80% yes vote next week from the Scottish Football League to be allowed entrance to the SFL even before before deciding which division they could be allowed into , if they don't it could be worse for Rangers as they would then need to apply to the Highland League or the Southern League.

That's worst case, although there could be a flip side which Rangers could explore, as technically they are no longer an associated football club they could still yet apply to the English FA to join the English system.

Hasn't stopped us before. Plus as Gareth mentioned, Tevez shouldn't be at City for much longer, even if he did say that's what he had planned.

We really have to get rid of Ade and that tube RSC.

f*ck Gazidis. had enough of this smarmy , arrogant wanker trying to get our world class players to stay by telling them how self-sufficient and strong financially we are. Our club should have showed the f*cking ambition to fight for top players and trophies earlier. Wenger will no doubt act all surprised, as if he wasn't aware of what the f*ck was going on.
Heaps of pressure heaped onto Poldi and Giroud now. We have 4 strikers and none of them look near RVP's level.

RVP to United? biggrin.gif

Sir Alex has said that Berbatov is going on the pre season tour and staying. Surprised by this, I thought Berba would definitely be away.

EDIT: Sir Alex has also said that there is a possibility that he might make a couple of more signings.

Your ostentatious pay has made offloading them to any clubs difficult - no one is willing nor able to equal your blood oil money and so they stay put. It's effectively naturalised them to wages that no one else could offer. Which is amusing for everyone else to see tounge.gif

It won't surprise me if he ends up abroad maybe in Italy or Spain. The favourites to sign him are City of course tounge.gif If City do sign him then they will have five great strikers!

Do you guys think RVP is at least gonna end this final year of contract or are the Gunners gonna sell him and grab another big-time player? IMO he's gonna finish this last year. Arsenal wouldn't just sell him like that.

EDIT: As for me I think he's leaving England, if not he's going to City.

Guarantee he'll be gone this summer, Arsenal would rather get a fee for him now than let him leave for nothing.

Rumours of Liverpool going in for Walcott now as well, last year on his contract also. I wouldn't mind that, lightning pace and although he has sh*t decision making at times he's still got a decent number of assists/goals.

BREAKING NEWS:

MAN CITY SIGN ARSENAL LEGEND

Manchester City have sensationally made a move in the transfer market for an Arsenal Legend, it was confirmed tonight by club sources that Manchester City have signed Arsene Wenger as their Chief Scout, his scouting for Manchester City players over the past years have prompted the club to sign him up a full scouting deal. Arsene knows nothing of this deal and won't be paid a penny as he'll still manage Arsenal on a day to day basis until Arsenal or Arsene decide otherwise. Arsenal or Arsene were unavailable for comment as they nothing of the deal

Oh God, for a second thought that was real haha ^^

Anyways, Libertadores final match tonight for those of you who care about South American football. I'm not a Corinthians or Boca Juniors fan but it will be a good f*cking match and I'm watching it because winning or losing, Boca is bound to get into a huge fight with Corinthians players. They always do. In the 90's Boca players fought cops when they came to Brazil, and Corinthians has the most aggressive firm in Brazil so the game is bound to end in a huge brawl. lol.gif

Yeah, I think you should mate. It's definitely an interesting match up with the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Argentina. Sao Paulo is gonna be crazy tonight with all the hopeful Corinthians fans invading local bars to look for their first Libertadores Cup.

Anyone know what's up with this Rangers situation in Scotland? I've been seeing it on CNN but don't quite get what is going on with them. They were talking about other Scottish PL clubs not allowing them in due to 'financial difficulties' if I heard right. Apparent;y they're bidding for a D1 entry. As far as I was aware the Rangers were the best team in Scotland. dontgetit.gif

Pfft, I wouldn't want him at United to be honest. Don't know why, just wouldn't.

I'm surprised Berbatov is staying too. I know Berba wanted more playing time but he isn't going to get much staying at United. I'm glad to hear him stay to be honest. smile.gif

Also, I can imagine SAF making a couple of more signings. I know Modric is out of the question now but I haven't heard any news lately on Baines.

They were talking about other Scottish PL clubs not allowing them in due to 'financial difficulties' if I heard right. Apparent;y they're bidding for a D1 entry. As far as I was aware the Rangers were the best team in Scotland. dontgetit.gif

In brief, Glasgow Rangers were owned by David Murray, there were rumors of financial irregularity, but they were taken over by Craig Whyte, there were lots of dodgy deals and 'creative accountancy' going on, anywho to cut a long story short they didn't pay a large Tax Bill, nothing unusual if you were an Italian team, but in Britain it's a no-no. So the HRMC (Taxman) called in the administrators and wound up Rangers as they couldn't arrange a way to repay the tax bill, Rangers reformed as a 'Phoenix' club, that is they formed a new company and bought all the old assets of the old club.

However as this was a brand new club they have no automatic right to take over the old clubs position in the League, so the rest of the Scottish Premier League clubs held a vote to allow this new club or 'newco' to take over their place in the league. They voted by a majority to say no, so therefore Rangers are not allowed in the Scottish Premier League, so they will now have to ask the Scottish Football League (Divisions 1-3) if they can join them. It is now up to the Scottish Football League Clubs to vote on whether to allow Rangers into the Football League and also whether or not to let them into the first, second or third division, or not even at all.

Now there has already a precedent set to 'relegate' a club to the Third Division as happened with Livingston a number of years ago, so the reality of Rangers being 'relegated' to the third division is a strong possibility.

As for Rangers being the best team in Scotland... not if Raith Rovers have anything to do with it. ph34r.gif

What an odd move it would be if RVP moved to City. They already have a stacked strike-force, why bring in a nearly 30-year old striker who's had one good season following numerous injury-riddled seasons? I can't see many clubs putting bids in now he's already come out and said he's leaving for free next summer, but if bids do come in I can't see them being more than £15m.

Looking forward to watching Spurs next season though. I was both apprehensive and excited by the prospect of AVB, I can see him having a "second coming" and proving the critics wrong. It is worth noting that RDM got sacked by West Brom then a year or so later got the Chelsea job.
