2006 world cup beat france on penalties. that was the last match zidane ever played, headbutted that italiian don't remember which.

I voted England out of hope more than expectation. I expected Spain to do it again. A team full of winners, lead by some outstanding veterans, playing a system that's been drilled into them for decades. Their weakest player walks into most other teams. It's a no brainer.

I know hindsight is a good thing to have and that saying you thought the reigning champs were going to keep their title is hardly a ballsy bet but come on... only Germany really stood a chance of threatening their supremacy.

Well wow. Spain already won this Euro. I can't really believe that Italy will be able to score at least two and get none. Though Italy had some good moments in the game, when they had more possession. I guess that's it.

And crap, I forgot to do my last predictions!

I'm bummed out. Italy's back four didn't show up for the game. They're utterly disorganized. They had never shown any signs of defensive disorganization this tournament. Equalizing this game will be hell.
