I ran the benchmark many times with the same results within 1-2 fps, both versions of GTA IV are patched to 1.0.04. Has anyone else gained improved fps from using this or any other Mods?

15.6'' display, 1600 x 900 native res
1.73 Ghz Intel® Core™ i7 CPU Q 820
4GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 Pro X64
640GB 7200 RPM HDD
Nvidia GTX285M 1GB DDR3 GPU

Video Mode: 1600 x 900
Aspect ratio: Auto
Texture Quality: High
Reflection Resolution: High
Water Quality: High
Texture Filter Quality: High

The best place to download is Realizm IV 6.2 + Textures (4GB+ in size) here, this version includes all of the new textures which is probably what caused the majority of the performance increase for me.

If you install it on GTA IV that has been patched to version 1.0.04 you might want to take a look at these instructions.

By the way, I just tried this mod ... and it made my game look absolutely HORRIBLE ... Not sure if it clashed with some mods I already had installed or what, but man did it look ugly.

It is a new range of mobile Core i7's that scale to how ever many Cores are needed in applications or games. For example, 1 Core at 3.0 Ghz, 2 Cores at 2.8 Ghz or 4 Cores at 1.73Ghz.

A few newer laptops are shipping with these.

p.s this is the error i get GTAIV FATAL ERROR:XNetStartup failed

Sounds like you installed it using an automatic installer onto a version higher than 1.040?

To install it on the newest version, you need to do a semi manual install because some of the included files will cause it to crash since it was designed to work on 1.040.

Read some info Realizm IV install on newer versions here

I don't play online so don't know but it should work as long as you don't use anything considered a cheat like the handling modification they use to make your car faster in the Mod.
