Or make it Low Detailed first, then build it up slowly to get the higher graphics. It's worthless to make a beautiful full HD mod, if users on cheap computers cannot use it, then they'll see it sh*t, and won't play with the mod anymore.

Working in the industry myself, most people recommend doing a high-poly version first, before making a low-poly version, and then baking the normal maps and using them; rarely the other way around. This way, things generally look the best they can, and it's much simpler than adding details from a low-poly version bit by bit.

Ok. So your gonna improve some aspects of it to make it more detailed?
No offense to HBX, because he did a great job, but I think the WTC lacked detail in some parts. Other parts looked fantastic. | Well, I just wish Hbx will see this progress... But I'm happy 3D Structure is continuing our project...

To 3DStructures:
Did you download GIMS and use the import function to open the .ide? Because that is how you do it. 
You don't just open .ide in 3ds max since that is not a file 3ds max can open directly.
To Romerjon:
No offence or anything. Please be clear with the program especially if you are suspecting that 3dstructure might have the wrong program. Just calling it Autodesk 2012 causes confusion as Autodesk has many software suite in the 2012 family such as Maya 2012, AutoCAD 2012, Mudbox 2012 ect... All of which can be called Autodesk 2012. So I hope that 3DStructure has 3dsMax 2012 or GIMS won't work. |
