That's not the Grass Texture, that's the Sand texture.

Please be patient, God already works on patch 1.1 for "Earth". Should be out soon. |
And how will this patch be installed? | It's automatic, when the comand SLEEP is set

How about adding some more VCS sounds?  I already brought my VCS sound mod to VCS PC Edition (Technically it's VC sound extracted, but who cares, they are identical  ). Since you cannot avoid GENRL bug anyway, it won't hurt for adding more VCS sounds  Right now I got vehicles door open/close/engine starting, flame burning, explosion and police siren installed for beta2, so I can feel more like playing VCS
