| QUOTE (Secret Assassin @ Friday, Jan 15 2010, 14:37) | Ya, but think about it will it die? Yes all great games do.
Off topic: I'm listening to Eminem while randomly posting. |
No and I disagree. I still play games dating back to at least 1986. Crystalis, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Super Mario World, MGS1, Chrono Trigger, A Link to the Past, Dragon Warrior and Maniac Mansion are games I've recently played and beat. Great games do not die and III is one of the greatest. Give me a choice of any GTA game to play and it's TBOGT (because of weapons and main character over IV and Niko) and then III. And as crazy as some may find it, I'd play Vice City over San Andreas (I actually need to dig around and find my copy of Vice City, I just came across III and replaying that now but haven't touched VC in a while).

| QUOTE (Arsen Vitiuk @ Monday, Jul 9 2012, 18:37) | I'll tell you that I'm definitely a III era fan. For me, IV era lost that unique charm every III era game had. That is why I will be playing GTA III and others (VC, SA, LCS, VCS) until the end of my time. These games are brilliant.
Maybe GTA IV was more close to real life and all, but it was a drawback in many aspects, compared to San Andreas (the most progressive III era game). | You're right, GTA IV hasn't that particurlar charme. I haven't played LCS and VCS because I don't own a PSP / PS2 and I think that this is the most disappointing thing R* ever made. I'm still wondering if there will be a PC edition of LCS and VCS...

Off-Topic:There is a mod in development of VCS for PC version for San Andreas. On-Topic:I like GTA IV,but I gotta say that Rockstar really forgot what Grand Theft "AUTO" means. It had a lot of shooting missions, which were really easy. Also,is was mission collectibles, the cars were way overpowered,it easily took about 250-300 bullets(depending from weapon)just to start "flaming". On the other side,GTA 3 was probably more primitive(no cover, drive by was kinda cheap, shooting was just point and click)but it's a lot better in many ways. It's missions and side missions were fun and more rewarding, the mission variety was a lot better, and of course, the story was overall better.Don't get me wrong,GTA IV's was pretty good, but it's nothing compared to 3,SA,and VC's one. In short:Gta 3 is immortal, biatch! This post has been edited by Th3MaN1 on Tuesday, Jul 10 2012, 08:43
