Nope, it can't. It will run poorly even on low details.

My mic input doesn't work after not restarting my computer for about 2 days. I've re installed sound drivers, nothing works except restarting the computer. Then it works. How can I make it work right now without restarting?

What am I testing on another computer?

Your patience perhaps wink.gif

It could that you've had you computer on two days straight so to me it could that the power management settings are switching the thing off, but not allowing it to turn on again.

Right Click My Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager (depending on your Windows version it's in there somewhere) then locate your mic in the list -> Right Click -> Properties -> (should hopefully be) Power Management settings -> Untick Power Saving Mode and Untick Let this device wake the computer.

Hopefully that should be it, if not let us know

Once I get into the device list, there's nothing for my audio input, there's only Conexant Smart Audio, and Intel Display Audio, and when I right click them and go to properties there's no power management options! I already reset the computer so the input works right now, but next time it stops working I'll try putting the computer in High Performance mode.

Do you guys think this laptop will handle Guild Wars? The minimum spec on the website is:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 or better
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI Radeon™ X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
25 GB available HDD space
Broadband Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

He has a laptop from 2007 which has 2GB ram, Windows Vista 32-bit, some 2.2Ghz Core2Duo and onboard graphics. The onboard graphics chipset is Intel Express 965 which has Shader Model 3 but I'm guessing it'll be a very laggy if he got the game. It's not going to run very well is it?

Why don't you just check yourself? You can just go onto http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and look for GW2 in the drop down menu, let it install the needed stuff and let it do its thing and after it will tell you how the system will fair. Just checked the site itself, and it seems to be giving me an error code every time I try to go to the site...odd. Hopefully its just down for a little while.

Best thing is to try and replicate it again, but this time set your computer to High Performance mode first.

@Topic:

I've just re-lived my misspent childhood and managed to get Tie Fighter working on my computer via Dosbox, unfortunately it's useless without a joystick so can anyone recommend any good joysticks that you've had experience with not just cause randompleb123 from some shopping site says yay. I've spotted this one which looks good, but if you've got any recommendations I'm all ears.

I know I've said about randompleb123 and really I wouldn't know any of you if I walked past you in the street, but the interactivity of this place will make a better opinion, nahmsayn.

That joystick looks pretty good. I still have an old joystick in the loft somewhere as I used to love playing MS Combat Flight Simulator and I still have the CD.

I'm gonna have to reinstall it sometime but I don't know what it'll be like in Windows 7. Last time it was installed was on a Windows 98 machine which was a very long time ago.

This one is really random:

What happens (hypothetically speaking) if I have more than 26 partitions, what will be the drive letters; AA, A1 or nothing?

If you can wade through the crap on this page then it answers your question and a little more, Here you go.

In essence it's possible but you just wouldn't be able to see them in Explorer as it will only display 26 drives (actually you'll get 24 partitions as A and B are legacy Floppy letters.) You will be able to see them in Disk Management.

Interesting thing i noted on my Laptop.
If i un-plug the charger everything gets a yellowy hue to it, it is only a slight tinge, but i can notice it and it gradually changes over a few seconds, and then gradually reverses when i plug the charger back in.

I went through intel settings and GPU settings but there wasn't anything that was different between the settings that should affect hue.

Could it be the integrated GPU switching with the dedicated?

I actually tried this once with Alcohol 120%. It can/could create I think 30+ virtual drives. As Gareth said, A and B are part of the OS that sees those as floppy drives and the last letter you'd see is Z and nothing after that. No way to access whatever is on those other drive letters. A120 can list it as being a drive you can mount to but the Windows doesn't see it at all.

@finn4life
That is an odd one. Could be something wrong with the integrated card or it's drivers?
Research the laptop model, maybe someone else with that model or model line, or even the brand, has had the same issue.

Yeah it is weird, tried some searches but found nothing.
Eh well, not big deal anyway.

Hey guys, should I pick NOW the MSI R7770 Power Edition Triple Overvoltage 1GD5 OC or wait to October and buy the SAPPHIRE HD 7770 GHz Edition OC

The MSI has 1100MHz clock and 4500MHz effective memory and the SAPPHIRE has 1150MHz clock and 5000MHz effective memory.

The MSI seems to be overclock friendly, I mean, to put it in pair of the SAPPHIRE. Is it easy to overclock it with MSI Afterburner?

What should I do? Also, there is a chance that the shop here doesn't have stock in October of the SAPPHIRE..

I'd pick the one that is cheaper, overclocking isn't hard.

Should there be any problems running Sapphire Radeon HD7770 on this motherboard?
