What has no audio inputs? You have to be more clear in what you refer to there Illegal Lug As for the HDMI, the TV should support it, you can't use both component and HDMI at the same time, unless it's two different inputs, two different devices.
I live in the US, we don't have SCART here, but it's pretty old, pre-HD, should be the same as composite NTSC delivery I believe S-video is a standard over there I imagine, they make S-video (Separated Y/C) for all sorts of video electronics, your basic VIVO on a graphics card is of the DIN associated with S-video, to clarify
Anywho, if you can, give details about your TV's jack-pack, what alls connected, what brand/model helps a lot! What outputs are used on the Xbox?

| QUOTE (Rebel @ Monday, Apr 2 2012, 19:02) | | Hey guys, I've got some DVD's that I'd like to watch often but I've noticed it takes a little longer than I'd like to load from just the DVD drive itself. So I'm looking for a programme that will let me write my film onto my HDD so I can watch it straight from my hard drive without the CD itself. So basically, I'd like to burn the film onto my pc. | Providing were talking original DVD's here, like your own works that aren't subject to Copyright etc etc etc or depending on your copyright laws in your country (... just covering my back) then just do a google search for "DVD Rippers" and there'll be a host of them available that will convert the DVD content to a more universal format like AVI, MPG, MKV etc etc etc.

One nice tool is software that reads DVDs to convert to PSP files, though that might not be what you need, You can do conversion with commercial DVDs. Region 0 Macrovision Free DVD players have been around for years. Apex's infamous model needed a particular ROM chip and it was good to go AD-600A ?!? Something like that, and Skyworth 1080P, another model I wound up owning (not sure I remember the model, but it does read like an HD format) They are home DVD players that allow all DVDs to play without the original copy protection for dubbing. It's not really a secret, the early Macrovision has been around since 1986, and it lies in the VBI as I recall, and there were ways to strip that from the video signal, as digital ushered in HD on DVD, things like HDMI allowed digital rights management to be sent with the the signal on the cable.
In the early days of DAT audio, a protection scheme allowed you one copy off a master, no other copies could be made from that copy, only an original allowed you a backup

@fred Better/faster CPU, which depending what you call cheap may or may not be so cheap. More RAM might help, but only if while you're working with your editor you see that you're using up all of the RAM. @Rebel Depends on how much of the DVD you want. If all you want is the movie, then there are tons of programs that can rip and convert them to a video file and then it depends on which video format you want. Handbrake is good if you want H.264 MP4s, more so if you want it to be playable on a mobile device but you can make it so it'll play on a desktop as well. I also like AutoGK for ripping and converting to DviX/Xvid. DVDShrink and ShrinkTo5 (now called DVD next Copy) can rip the whole DVD and make it an ISO that you can then mount and play (VLC can play ISOs without mounting them first) but you could also have them forget all of the extras and just have the movie yet retain the chapter points. I have run into problems with some DVDs not ripping because of copy protection so I had to use DVD Decrypter it's old but works but there is also DVDFab HD, these will rip the VOB files to your HDD while also removing the copy protection and region info.
