Hi everyone. I wonder can I add exhaust-flame pop just like the Banshee to other cars in GTA 4?
Is that modifing the vehicle.ide or the handling file to do this?

To do this you must change the vehicles in-game name to 'Banshee' or 'Sultan RS' or any other car which has the exhaust flames by modifying the 'Vehicles.ide' file.
It changes the engine noise and any visual effects associated with that engine (Flames, Exhaust fx etc.) to any car you specify.
NOTE: This also changes the car name that appears when you enter the vehicle, to the one you replace it with.

So if you replace the 'minivan' with 'banshee' engine sound and effects, It's name will appear as banshee when you enter it.

You can change/swap engine sounds and effects with most vehicles, so Heli's with Heli's, bikes with bikes etc.

Yes it will change the engine and make the exhaust pop. Just change the Game Name(forth column) to a car name that you want check the list so make sure its correct because some car names are abbreviated

Along with Changing the car name that appears when you enter the vehicle, to the one you replace it with. It also changes the radio station the car plays and the cops will also refer to it as that name:^:

just copy one of the cars that uses flame exhoust vehicle.ide lines

and paste to desired car thats it

sorry to dig up this old thread but i have a question refering to the same subject . First after 2 years i would like to know if a better way has been found and second , is it possible to remove the flame (i installed a Testarossa on the infernus and it isn"t much realistic)
