Dont know if my requests belong here...ill take my chances

First of, i dont know yet how to make MODS or code scripts and so on, but i worship people who can wink.gif

I have some ideas, and hope theyll be kindly accepted tounge.gif

A Car shop (like Vehicle Selector by C06alt)

But u would have to drive to a certain point ingame to buy Car
Maybe make Car, Boat and Heli Shop at different points ingame, would be sweet!
And...u could go to LPCD department and purchase Police Vehicles...

A working Chop Shop

But only the cars with custom parts should be "moddable", maybe add nitro again like SA for fun and kicks ? could be optionable.
The chop shop could work together with car shop maybe....

More agressive driving peds

Picture this: I try to carjack someone, i open door, ped slams the door back in and immediately step on the gas making it harder for me to steal the car.

Sit & Lie Down

Well, a simple mod for sitting and lying down (like the hoboes on streets)

Mission by mail ?

I havent seen anyone MOD the browser ingame, so i guess its not possible yet ?
But would be awesome to put the Net Cafe to more use!
Ideas would be endless....missions of all kind, but non criminel tounge.gif contests like lottery ? lol, or "Find the Burger Shot Guy" or "pigeon hunt version 2" (tho i hate the pigeons, but its just ideas tounge.gif)

Drinking Contest

This was actully my friends idea, but if possible, it could be fun smile.gif
Well the animation for drinking is there, and drunk mode ofcourse smile.gif
So heres some part of the idea. U go to Vlads bar, or any other open bar and Bartender is the mission contact in this case.
U start the mission, screen fades black, and back again with spawned contestents, 2,3 or 4 (optionable) and maybe some crowd for cheering.
But how should the contest work ? have to get back on that, or u come with some ideas smile.gif

Truck mission

Remember "Rigged to Blow" ?
More missions like that smile.gif

RagDoll Contest

LoL this is one crazy idea, but cant stop laughing everytime i picture it...
U start the mission, and will have to do check point down a hill or downhill road, but get this, u ragroll xD
And if possible and obvious, add contestents ? Peds RollRacing u ?
Its not ment to be serious, but still funny ? tounge.gif

Funny u mention this, u jumped my memory remembering, i would like a Grab Mod....but not only cars. All things!
I saw this video called "Bloopers, Glitches & Silly Stuff 7" on YouTube, and noticed an accendently grab on train station roof. Go look, fast forward to 1 min.
I would love a MOD making me able to grab on to almost anything, imagin being able to escape from cops by grabing train in motion...or airplane ? LOL

Could somebody code it, that the player can move on driving things like a pick-up or on the roof of a truck or on a train?
So that the player don't fall down of the object but standing on it.

If anyone can make!
A code script that will use animation of Hakumai Headlights to make Opening vents on Sport Cars and working spoiler on such cars as Porsche!

And the author shoud only specify the Angle of Opening in special options like doors , hood etc.

Can anyone make .asi file that "Car Mod Anti Crash Patch for MultiPlayer"?

GTAIV sync car damage.
In Multiplayer, each players are syncing around NPC cars(position and damages), peds and own car damage.

BUT
In Multiplayer, if player are using car mod, other player aren't, something will happen.
I mean it's "crash".

Recently, some FreeMode room said that DO NOT USE CAR MOD.

So i thought if there is patch, we can use car mod. smile.gif

Please make patch for Multiplayer. confused.gif

Eyho,

I need someone who is abled to do a nice little script. I have the CLEO version for GTA SA, which has to be rewritten for IV. Difficulties: it should be abled to read an ini file (or similar) which contains one or more IDs (linewise) and use that ID(s). Second goal of the script is to open a door to a certain angle with a certain speed, trigger dependent on car speed.

I do not care if it is LUA or C++ or whatever, its main function which is a must: open rear doors slow motion until a certain angle, trigger dependent on car speed. All other is optional.

Hi,
Can someone can make a script that when you get drunk to see the red,yellow and green lights changing from second to second, on the streets to be JUST hookers and when you crash the car to DIE ! I haved sow a anti Drunk Driving Commercial Yesterday and I thinked it would be cool that would be in GTA IV too ! I would script it myself but when I complie it and put it in GTA IV directory in game nothing happens

Stupid maybe, I hope you do not talk about my request w/o asking what it is about.
Since now it is managed to rotate doors axis (gullwing and scissor and any angle) in IV; I really need one who can script the requested feature for a unique mod and following mods with similar functions.

Any1 willing to do that "stupid" little request?

Exactly. I need someone, who can activate a door opener when a certain speed is driven and close them doors, when that speed is undercut again. Those doors must not open instantly, but slowly, like driven by hydraulics. As said, I wrote such scripts in CLEO for GTA SA, small simple scripts with a big fun. If you still wonder why this kind of senseless request, these are the GTA SA pendants:

Question is: can it be made to read an ini file, where the car names are stored, and activate it for the named cars?
For example, standard car is replacing feltzer, another car using the same script is replacing infernus.
Second goal is to achieve the AirVents not to be fully opened like a door would. It has to stop opening on a certain angle. If you watch those videos, you can see that the air vents do not open as much as a door would, thats what I am talking about. As soon as a mate got the vents rotated to work correctly, there is a test object to see what happens (game convert, not allowed to be linked or posted here) and how.

If it works, more of that kind have to come (think about MB SLR's air brake, Audi R8 moving spoiler, Veyron moving spoiler, Lamborghini VACS [openable air vents, spoilers..] and else). All of that was realised in GTA SA already (even working 3d gauges), and I want to take that to IV, too. Introducing the technique and else, since it was too late to be established in GTA SA.

Being a casual modder myself, I'll try to contribute to this thread by telling you guys which ideas are (currently) not possible.

1. Updating mods/plugins with no sourcecode available.
This is not possible. To update something to work with a new version of GTA, you'll need the sourcecode.

2. Offline multiplayer.
Would require changing the game itself extensively. Not possible at the moment.

3. Online story-mode co-op.
Would require changing the game itself extensively. Not possible at the moment.

4. Anything regarding AI behaviour.
I think this is hard-coded.


Don't be too sad if your idea isn't put into a mod. If all modders would have to honour all requests, we wouldn't have any modders left tounge.gif.

Would be nice if someone made:

** An .asi that adds sails to the Marquis boat and Wind to the game, F11 to enable them, then F12 to open the menu to change (can only move up/down/choose items when numlock is on) which way the wind blows, sail colours etc, and the wind itself can make the boat move through water without being in the driving seat, and for it to work online all modes.
I don't know from memory if there are any 'floppy' canvas objects in-game that could be used for sails, but I hope there are, to avoid having to make it a scripted thing that only you can see.
Basically I would like it to work as said, so that it will work in conjuction with Thousand Tugs and Car Selector mods.

Failing that, or to go with it,

** An .asi for turning on a few varieties of big waves/rough and dead calm water weather (menu through F10 please and using numlock as above), Could work online too?)

And lastly,

** An asi for spawning the items that can be picked up: bricks, beer bottles, glasses, steel kettle etc, can choose from spawn 'in-hand' or 'on the ground', and ability to spawn lots of them on top of each other instead of removing the one you just spawned. (F9 please, Online capability)

Car Modders Helper script

Meaby some of you know that in GTA IV CAR lights doesent work like in GTA SA so it gives some more perspectives!
BUT it also have some disadvantages, like if a object has "lightsmessive" shader then it glow's allways (if car engine is on)

So im asking you to help us Car convertor's or modder's to write a help script Like:

If a object with "lightsmessive" shader is placed in (fog_lights - dummy) then it shoud not glow on car engine start!! But when user press a custom button!! that will alow us to make full working fog lights or gabarites to work separatly from headlights

but it will be eaven better to do it so:

When you press a custom button then "fog_lights" dummy's enables lights + taillights


Also there is something more if someone wants to help plz! pm me i will tell what good things you can do! THNX
