Version 0.95 RC2 Released
|
|---|
| The LCPD First Response Mod | PCGAMER says: One of the most comprehensive mods available, this gives players a chance to view the criminal underworld from the other side of the thin blue line. It turns GTA IV into a law enforcement sim, where you can make random arrests, issue citations, pull cars over for speeding and call in backup to deal with more troublesome perps. |
| Key(s) | Function | | ALT+P | Toggles police duty » If off duty, you will proceed to character selection and then be granted access to police commands. » If on duty, you will change back into civilian clothes and be unable to use police commands.
|
|---|
| ALT+B | Calls for police assistance » Spawns a backup unit which will drive to your location and combat any subjects in the area.
|
|---|
| ALT+N | Calls for NOOSE assistance » Spawns a NOOSE backup unit which will drive to your location and combat any subjects in the area.
|
|---|
| SHIFT | Pulls over a vehicle » Initiates a traffic stop (sometimes a pursuit) on the closest vehicle around 10m infront of the player's vehicle.
|
|---|
| ALT+U | Puts on a hat » Puts a hat on the player relative to the weather. » Known issue: only compatible to a full extent with the normal police officers (traffic cop, fat cop, normal cop, noose).
|
|---|
| ALT + T | Draws/holsters your Taser
|
|---|
| / | Toggles between emergency lighting modes whilst inside a vehicle. » Additional emergency lighting for police vehicles.
|
|---|

|
|---|
| ALT + M | Performs CPR » Attempts to revive the nearest fatality.
|
|---|
| ALT + O | Spawns a Coffee cup » Spawns a coffee cup, press O to drink.
|
|---|

|
|---|
| F10 | PURSUIT BACKUP » Calls for helicopter assistance during a pursuit (the helicopter will join the chase and engage the suspects).
|
|---|
| F11 | PURSUIT BACKUP » Calls for NOOSE assistance during a pursuit (the NOOSE team will join the chase and engage the suspects).
|
|---|
| F12 | PURSUIT BACKUP » Calls for police assistance during a pursuit (the LCPD unit will join the chase and engage the suspects).

Just went to youtube and saw the preview. So we finally get to play as real cops, right? The ability to call backups seems really cool. I really hated those on board computers which can only car a single cop car in a quite wide area... what a crappy system. Also the ability to arrest people seems fun too. I just can't simply wait Altough I have been wondering... aren't there any ways to make Niko, as a cop? I know there is a clothing mod which makes Niko a kind of a policeman style... but it doesn't have any gears or hats. If only Niko could wear those real uniforms, it would really rock (just my opinion though )

| QUOTE (_hax @ Aug 5 2009, 22:13) | Mr. Mysterious I don't want to worry you, but mods which change player model have major issue - when you go back to niko model (aka PLAYER) game crashes everytime you put on props (read helmet, cap, glasses). If you don't believe me check this out for your own with either your mod or ex. Player selector (if game doesn't crash, change model again, try getting on bike and putting on helmet so it will crash for sure).
The only solution is to customize niko's clothes so they look like cop ones (and props for cop hat) |
Don't worry, I've taken all that into consideration. There is a solution, I saved the players skin template before the model change is made, and then restore that template when the player goes off duty. Tested with glasses, hats and helmet. | QUOTE | | I dont want to install it untill most bugs are fixed, but its looking pretty good, nice work |
Don't let the first post fool you, the mod is not released and is a WIP.
