I searched 30 minutes, no usefull help.
So my question is, how can I change the Engine Sound of my cars ?
I now somewhere in the handling.dat BUT WHERE ?!
Which line shows me the Engine Sound?

Because its in Vehicles.ide

For example changing futo engine to sultanRS' engine.

edit:

futo, futo, car, futo, futo, ....

to:

futo, futo, car, futo, sultanrs, ...

That's such a fun switch. Fire-spitting Futo ftw!

I wonder if it's possible to just enable the backfire (like what the Sultan RS has) without changing all the sounds. I know it's possible to add the truck exhaust smoke to anything (+truckexhaustfx) for example. But there isn't a line to add the backfire. I think it might be hardcoded to that vehicle's sound set...
Basically, I'd love to have the Phantom backfiring, lol.

I'm sure you can add the backfire, but I have no idea how. There was a mod which gave the Dukes backfire effects...

Hmm, I've done that already, by swapping it to the Banshee sounds.

I know what you mean though, it did it without having to swap the sounds, yeah? That would be so much better.

does anyone know a way to change the vehicle sounds without changing its name?

eg:

when I change the 'Sultan' to sound like the 'Sultan RS', the name of the Sultan appears in game as 'Sultan RS'...

Just thought I'd let you know, this happens to any car that you change the audio on, not just the sultan.

With SparkIV you can open and export all music/sound files. But you can't import yet, with OpenIV also not yet. Here is a IVAUD converter, but it don't start for me.
