The Setting, The game is set in November of 2001, the location is based on New England, New Britain is a large area, twice the size of San Andreas, there are three states in New Britain,

The Story, (created by Jacky Fiend)
Arrested in Dukes, Liberty City after a bar brawl in Steinway Beer Gardens turned naty; 28 year old Gerald McReary is facing life imprisonment after the murder of a fellow patron. His rap sheet already filled to the brim with cases of grand larceny, assault, armed robbery and hijacking, Gerald is not expecting to get off lightly. Even his lawyer has abandoned his case, claiming it to be unwinnable. Gerald looks set to spend the rest of his life in Alderney State Correctional Facility.

During his stay in the local police station, Gerald is visited by a shady government figure who wants to offer him the chance to redeem himself; to save himself from a life behind bars or worse - in the electric chair. The man, who refuses to name himself, tells Gerald about the lucrative McGregory Mob from Bothlin, New Britain; an old school Irish mob like the McReary Mob, but ten times as powerful.

He claims that the McGregorys have been causing himself and the New Britain authorities some major problems and he would like Gerald to help them bring them down - from the inside. The shady figure, in exchange for Gerald's help, offers him a pardon on all offences past and present and a one-way ticket out of the slammer. Gerald is soon faced with a moral dilema; does he accept the man's offer and become a rat in order to secure his freedom or does he take his chances in the cold, unforgiving walls of Alderney State Pen?

Gerald accepts the figure's offer and before long he finds himself whisked away upstate in the back of a police wagon. He is thrown out onto the streets with only the clothes on his back and a name: Malcom Fisher.

Stumbling towards the nearest pay phone, Gerald quickly locates Malcom Fisher's name in the phonebook and calls him up. He explains his situation to Malcom who tells Gerald to meet him at his house in Barnes, New Herefordshire. Gerald travels to Barnes and locates Malcom's house. He knocks on the door and is greeted by the small, wirey man who introduces himself as Malcom Fisher - a member of the Plymouth State Police.

Malcom introduces Gerald to the various gangs around New Herefordshire and eventually Biddleford and Plymouth. All the time Gerald and Malcom are looking for ways to infiltrate the McGregory Mob and bring them down; what follows is a tale of secrecy, betrayal and a tangled web so thick that not even a spider could undo it.


Gameplay,
The realism remains at the same level it was in IV, the gameplay, however, the gameplay is similar to SA. Like in SA you can give the character tattoos, hair cuts, and build up their strength and weapon skills. Unlike in IV, friends and girlfriends are completely optional and aren't required in order to achieve 100% completion also friends and girlfriends do not call you as frequent and most of the time in order to go to places with them you need to call them. Because New Britain is so large, there are tons of things to do. Including,

Races: You can participate in three types of races, Off Road, Street and Motor Speedway. Off Road involves racing on dirt roads and through country sides, Street involves racing through public streets and roads, and Motor Speedway involves racing a race car on an official race track.

Amusement Parks: There are several amusement parks that has it's own rides and attractions, 5 Stars New Britain (Six Flags New England), Book World (Story Land), Cane Pond (Canobie Lake), and there is also the Moosevalley Fair (Deerfield Fair) which is New Herefordshire's largest agricultural fair. Players can go to an amusement park and can be able to ride the rides and attractions, they can also go see shows.

Rampages: Returning from the III era, there are at least 50 rampages in total. Each one involves the player having to kill a certain amount of gangs in a limited amount of time using a certain weapon (s)

Vehicle Missions: Also returning from the III era, Vehicle missions can be toggle by entering a certain vehicle and pressing a specific button.

Mini Games: There are tons of mini games, including ones that are returning from IV such as air hockey and pool. There are also new ones as well.

Internet and Cell Phone: Internet, first introduced in IV, has returned however, there are tons of new sites to visit. Cellphones also return.

New Britain Aquarium: Players can go to the New Britain Aquarium
(based on the New England Aquarium) and view the exhibits and watch shows.

Night Clubs: Need a place to just chill out, or a place to dance the night away, players can go to night clubs and can also dance, players can also enter dance contests.

Assassinations: Given to you via phone. Assassinations involve the player killing a specific person(s) and sometimes by doing it a certain way.


Getting Around,
Their are other ways of getting around New Britain without having to drive/fly long distances. There are many alternative ways of getting around places including,
Taxi:(Image) Like in previous games, the players can go to different places via taxi.
Buses: (Image) Your very basic way of getting around. Buses can bring the player from one area of a city to another.
Subway: (Image) Just like Liberty City, there are subways systems found in cities like Bothlin. The subway will bring people to certain areas of it's designated city.
Rail: (Image) Players can ride the Commuter Rail which takes he player across the map and makes stops at a certain rail stations.
Ferries: (Image) Ferries can also be used to get the player around.
Planes: (Image) Nearly all the cities in New Britain have airports which can be used. Players can enter an airport and can purchase a ticket to a selected city in New Britain and can fly out to it.

If you're going to make a gta about an Irish mobster then I think it would be a good idea to make the setting's conditions based off of quazi ghetto Irish towns like Hells Kitchen or South Boston. Considering the fact that R* has raised the standards for impecable stories, you might as well have the conditions be the same as places where people are deeply imbedded in tradition, screw around with guns, develop feuds with each other for respect to the point where deadly street brawls are constantly breaking out, and where a good number of the citizens are plagued by substance abuse in and out the bar scene or can barely distinguish dreams from reality when they wake up because of all the crap they've been through that ranges from drugs to violence.

The story is still in the works right now, also I was thinking of having two endings like Deal and Revenge in IV however I'm not sure it's a good idea or not.

Because I don't know any other Punk bands cause I'm not really into Punk that much, although I do like Grindcore alot, and also Reel Big Fish are Ska Punk. But anyways, I might just take some the songs from the Punk station from my old Los Santos post and add them into this one.
