I sent a reply, and here it is. I thought it was a mail-shot at first, sent to thousands, but I got this | QUOTE (Rockstar Games) | Hey Joey,
Thank you for getting back to us and awesome forum thread you linked to! We love seeing your enthusiasm for Grand Theft Auto IV Multiplayer.
Here's some questions we were wondering:
Do you have any expert GTAIV Multiplayer strategies you can share that separate you from other players and help put you at the top of the leaderboards? General strategies and also ones specific to certain modes you like to play?
What's your favorite Multiplayer mode, weapon and map section - what do you really like about them? What do you find most fun?
What tips would you give to someone just starting out playing GTAIV Multiplayer modes?
Much appreciated in advance - we're really looking forward to hearing what you have to say!
Thanks again, Rockstar Games

I just sent this e-mail off in reply | QUOTE | Hiya R*, Thanks for getting in touch, I really wasn`t expecting someone to click on the link - nice! And thank you also for making such an unbelievably amazing MP experience. No other goes from being heart-stoppingly intese in one moment, to being LMFAO hilarious in the next. Although I`d only describe myself as just above average, I`ll try to answer your questions. The most important thing is to know the settings which the host has made, and how they will affect gameplay. I go on XBL and have all my preferences set to off, but the other settings can have a dramatic effect on what your strategy is going to be, so always try to use the settings to your advantage. I always check what Reticule Health and Gamertag are set to. When they are on, they will show up on your opponent when they are in range of your weapon - good to know when their gun has greater range, so you can take up a defensive position and let them come on to you. My favourite mode is Team Deathmatch with randoms - no two matches are ever the same - and my favourite weapon is the SMG. Up close or at a distance, it`s a great all-rounder, and you`re more mobile with it than with the assault rifle. The best area of the map is South Bohan, around Windmill St. station. There`s more enterable buildings and opportunities to get a height advantage - the Sprunk warehouse, the station and tracks, the apartment rooftops and the unfinished bridge give that area a vertical feel. To any newcomers to GTA IV multiplayer, I`d say make friends online and do ranked party mode matches with the best players You`d be amazed at the knowledge you can pick up around that old casino. Also, join a fansite such as GTAForums and we`ll share our knowledge with you. Yours, Joey.

| QUOTE (II J0SePh X II @ Oct 25 2009, 01:25) | Did anyone else get an e-mail from R* about an interview?
| QUOTE | Hey II J0SEPH X II,
We've noticed that you've consistently been one of the top ranked Grand Theft Auto IV players on the leaderboards, and we're interested in possibly highlighting some outstanding players like you for an upcoming feature story on the Rockstar Newswire (www.rockstargames.com/newswire).
When you have a chance, hit us back and let us know if you might be interested in sharing your experiences playing Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer and answering a few questions about how you got to the top of the leaderboards, along with any tips you might want to provide to the community at large.
Thank you, Rockstar Games

| QUOTE (Nitty Don @ Apr 22 2010, 07:45) | Any guys got any PRO tips for shooting and strafing, as this is where I lose most 1 on 1 battles ?
I currently can't decide on a pattern so move randomly from side to side (as I found only moving in one direction not to be very effective against good players) I also have my aim speed set to normal, I did experiment with slow and found it better for these encouters but this pro was far more outweighed by the con of not being able to deal with cars as the reticle could not keep up with the action.
Any good tips appreciated ! | Your right about the strafing. You wanna be as unpredictable as possible. I think you pretty much know all the tips. Now it's a matter of serious practice. I use to practice houres past when the sun came up. Even if I had to work morning shift. I didn't care. It payed off eventually.
