Did anyone here know that GTA: Advance was originally going to be a Gameboy Advance port of GTA 3? But the GBA simply did not have enough room for all the 3d so they scrapped it when it was at least halfway finished and whipped up GTA: Advance really quick in time for the SA release so people would maybe buy 2 GTA games at once. It woulda been FU**ING awesome if they finished it and released it! What's stopping them from porting GTA3 to the DS now... cmon Rockstar do us a favour! Doubt it though... so nvm this thread just explaining a bit of cool trivia.

Well GTAA was trying to bring GTA3 and GTACW GTAIV.
Also if GTAA had real GTA3 map I would like it much more.

GTACW was a completely original game from the get go. That's like saying LCS was an attempt at bringing III at the PSP.

yeah liberty city stories is nothing like gta 3...gta 3 is a smaller game than liberty city stories is so they could have made an exact port easily...no attempt needed they could have just done it....but no they made a new game instead which is better off doing....wanna play gta 3? get it for ps2 or pc. i see no reason to port it after all these years

Advance still contains remnants of GTA3. The city, the cars, and the characters. Even Mike somewhat resembles Claude. Black hair, green jeans, and a gray shirt. Give him a black shirt and he'd look like Claude's doppelganger.

Pretty much a few new cars and a different story later, it became Advance.

yup, somewhere along the lines they got a sense smack and made a new game of it. if it were gta 3 i probably wouldnt have bothered with it

it was a fun little game to play during my rather slow time in hospital

That is true. It was supposed to have a big ass add on to support the graphics. It looked like a HUGE gba cartridge, but about as big as a gbc cartridge. But yeah, i would think that the gba would have bigger rating than the ds if it have had done that. But yeah, we all wish things would happen... I WANT THAT TO HAPPEN ON DS!!!!
