EDIT: Jesus Mary Joseph, the update is almost 1 GB in size. It certainly is huge, isn't it?!

I'm very disappointed by MvM. I expected something big and unique and we got idiotic shoot-em-up mode that is too simple, doesn't depend on team work at all and gets boring after playing it 2 times.

You buy a ticket if you want to play harder co-op and get extra items at the end - items other than your set drops.

Items which follow the same percentages as regular drops (which means there's literally less than a once percent chance of getting a hat - we managed to get through Mann Up on Coal Town and I ended up with a Rainblower and Cloak & Dagger).

It's not even slightly worth it. You can change the difficulty on a privately hosted dedicated server to match Mann Up's difficulty.

Going to bump this dying thread just to add something really stupid that was just updated to TF2: Apparently, if you leave a Mann Vs. Machine server too many times, you'll get a penalty. I myself don't get why it's in the game in the first place.

A full explanation of the system is here. One of the lines:

This is just stupid. I often lose my connection, and closing the game (since it always freezes after losing connection), restarting, and re-connecting to the server takes a minimum of ten minutes. Just loading into the server takes up half that time.

Long story short, it's the worst idea since having to pay $6 to play a Tour of Duty. Or making the Backburner.

It's actually a very good thing, because before this, if you disconnected your spot was not reserved at all. I myself lost out on items twice because I crashed, rejoined and it did not consume my ticket, back when MvM was still new.

Jesus, they upped the drop rate for Unusuals to 5% on the new crate, and this crate has Halloween effects (Ghosts, Cloudy Moon, etc). Valve just stuck a boot up the collective asses of the Unusual trading community, this is going to completely f*ck with their values.

It's so cool how bosses like the Wizard bring people together, they cooperate and shoot at him instead of each other. I was playing a Ghost Hill Fort server and I gotta say, the map is awesome. I even managed to snag one of the gifts, got some nice paint. Forgot how much fun this game was.

Its so much fun going on random pub servers and backstabbing folk trying kill Merasmus. People get so f*cking pissy its unreal. I've been kicked and banned loads.

As for unusual's, I'll never understand why people like them, they're all f*cking awful.
