Yes, I realize that this "PC fanboyism" is very uncharacteristic of me, but I have little doubt that TF2 is far more addictive with these benefits.

I did play TF2 loads on the PS3 version before i managed to get the Orange Box off Steam for £5.66, since then i have enjoyed it way more on PC, just because of the Payload mode, the amount of people in servers and the chance of unlocking new things to play with.

One of the best PC games.

Man that game has changed since I played it. Is the bow & arrow a perk/unlockable or something? I think that I stopped playing before any of them were made available.

Yeah, you either "find" it or unlock it. I think its the sniper milestone 1.

How do you 'find' it out of interest, unless this has also changed you weren't able to pick up weapons back when I played.

Decided to give this a re-install also. Some of the updates, and the overall update support, that have been released sound sweet.

Team Fortress 2 rocks, I started playing around the same time as the Scout update went live and was kicking butt as the Engineer, now I'm playing Pyro and owning hard with the Backburner + Axetinguisher combo.

With the recent update, it randomly gives you weapons.
It will just pop up ingame and say "you have found ....... what ever gun"

Its useful for people who dont play it enough and cant be bothered to get the milestones.

But i got most of them with general play anyway.

Anyone have a guest pass on Steam for this game? I'm probably going to be buying it soon, but I'd still like a chance to see what it's like.

Some servers may have high amounts of downloads. I recommend turning off sound downloads, and maybe graphics downloads, and if not, maybe try getting a better internet connection. Steam support could help too.

I'm getting better at this game. Though there only seems to be one server on PS3 and it's always playing the same two maps over and over again (2fort and Dustbowl). sad.gif

In all honesty, I dislike 2fort. Sniper-infested, turtle-infested map that always goes from an actual game into just a deathmatch. Dustbowl is good from time to time though, you get good teamwork there.

I had the pug today, my team steamrolled the enemy team (this pic was taken by one of my fellow players, and Laharl was our team captain):

It was fun though, and there were some great moments.

Well, they turtle. Basically, they create an impenetrable fortress of defence. Luckily for them, the other team is making minimal effort to destroy it, as they are building their own impenetrable fortress of defence.

A good game on 2fort isn't impossible....just rare. That's my experience anyway.

Ah so that's why you never seem to be on steam, when you get it sorted i'll play some games with you, i also need to play a few games with Bean, though he never seems to be on TF2 when i'm on and vice versa.

I had a weird thing happen today on this though, i joined the server i normally play on and i had no sound at all, which made it incredibly hard to play as i never knew when the setup time had finished or when we'd taken a point in payload, i did ok considering the circumstances though, but it was still really annoying.

*Sigh* Team Fortress 2... what a game.

I used to play the PS3 version excessively. It was fine aside from the un-nerfed Soldiers and Demomen, sky walkers and glitchers. There was a trend with clan members however where they all play as the over-powered classes (Soldier and Demo), which was bearable since not many people were clan members. But one day, nearly everyone was part of a clan and the whole game was run by Soldiers, Demos and the odd Medic. It was bullsh*t so I quit.

The PC version is great but my PC is too old and sh*t to run it properly. mad.gif

For the record, Demoman is more over-powered and frustrating than the Soldier on PS3.

TF2 is like Sims, its on all consoles and fun on them, but really belongs on PC. tounge2.gif

I got a good game in last night, kept having Pyro duels with some bloke called Air, we ended up pretty equal too, now I'm trying to get better at Spy.

Finally have the new spy watch (the one that 'refills' when you stand still) and the Ambassador.

Being a spy has become alot more fun with these two toys!

Cloak and dagger is cool, only upgrade i have for the spy, kinda weird considering i hardly use the class.

Been trying to get decent with the Demoman, he's been pretty hard to use so far, as i usually end up going back to either the Pyro, Heavy or Medic.

I've been kicking ass with the Scout and Heavy recently. Nobody seems to want to be a Medic though, which leaves out the possibility of an awesome Heavy/Medic combo. Sad, really. sad.gif

Who here has TF2 on PS3? I'd love to play with some people from GTAF.

I love being a medic... if the Heavy uses his brain/has a brain.

I find pyro class the most annoying and utterly sad (it explains itself). Though I have much respect for the Demoman class since it's a pain in the ass to master (well, atleast for me it is!).
