Exactly! wink.gif

I ment the 8-ball shop all the time and the 100$ reward thing is the hidden package, that you find in the same area in front of one door.
And the mission, where you end up in that area is the Kaufman Cabs 3rd mission.

Your turn, GTArv!

Cheers! I'll edit this post in a couple of minutes with a question.
  • You can find several numbers of me in virtually all localities of the city.
  • Some of me can grant you an elevated view.
  • If you can tread on me, do it with caution, lest you fall!

Another clue to come if nobody in the next five posters is able to get the right answer. I doubt that though.

QUOTE (MC_320 @ May 18 2009, 08:09)
Hyman Condos?

Before I go on here, no, I'm not singling you out MC_320, since this has been going on since the previous page. But it seems to me as if people have not read the first post and took the rules into account. Pure guesses, without any explanation as to why you guessed an answer doesn't add to this topic at all. It only induces spam, which is something I will not be allowing to carry on. All guesses with only a couple of words followed by a question mark, without any reasoning what-so-ever that have been posted in this topic could have all had an explanation as to why you members chose a specific answer. Up to now it's been going well, and it isn't that hard to elaborate on why you feel your proposed answer may be right. If this continues, I don't really see the need for this topic to continue.Yes, in other trivia topics this is ongoing, but surely you can see that they aren't in any way productive posts?

Arv, I'm thinking of something that epitomises Vice city and it's atmosphere; Palm trees!

-- You can find several numbers of me in virtually all localities of the city -

There are, quite literally, hundreds of these scattered all over the city. In virtually every single district, you are bound to find one of these floating around.

-- Some of me can grant you an elevated view -

Some palm trees are crooked, and you are actually able to walk up them to the very top of the tree. There's one particular tree beside the Malibu Club that will make you able to jump onto the roof of it!

-- If you can tread on me, do it with caution, lest you fall! -

You have to be very careful as you approach the tip of the tree, as you can't walk to the very top of them. When the tree stump starts to thin out, and you near the leaves it becomes very fragile, and if you take a step too far you will tumble to the ground.

On a side-note, these sorts of questions are brilliant, and really get your mind thinking! icon14.gif

Alright, another 'Where Am I?' type question -

-- I'm stood on top of thousands of pounds worth of damage, and potential profit
-- What I am stood on top of could have been very useful to me, or anybody else for that matter in the past
-- Getting here is no easy task, only a large vehicle or aircraft will get me to this exact spot
-- You'll only find pedestrians in this specific area at one point in the game

Where the hell am I..?!

Two very good guesses (I just knew the Junkyard would pop up), but both are unfortunately incorrect. My exact location isn't the most obvious of locations, much like the Junkyard, so you are really going to have to think about it (I hope!) in order to get it right...

The Haitians building is yeah, a good answer, but itīs not hard to enter..

But Iīm thinking at the moment about Cortez`es ship biggrin.gif

-- I'm stood on top of thousands of pounds worth of damage, and potential profit - donīt know about the damage, but thousands of pounds - oh yeah!
-- What I am stood on top of could have been very useful to me, or anybody else for that matter in the past - who wouldnīt want a ship that big, with guards and beautiful women? biggrin.gif
-- Getting here is no easy task, only a large vehicle or aircraft will get me to this exact spot - well before Cortez`es last mission itīs complicated, but still possible to get to his ship! Air vehicles will do fine, about trucks - I donīt know.
-- You'll only find pedestrians in this specific area at one point in the game - the word "area" seems to make my guess wrong, but you can find peds in the beginning in the game at the ship. When the party was and after that the guards and servant.

Flicko, you pretty good at this! Darn good questions tounge.gif

Both good guesses, but both of you need to think more North-west!!

Kalev, that was an impressive explanation, but you are indeed incorrect.

-- Cortez's ship did not endure a lot of damage throughout the game
-- It will still be useful for somebody (most probably Cortez) even after it disappears from the game
-- You can get to the ship using a two-wheeled vehicle, which makes your third point incorrect
-- You're right, I was referring to an area, not an object

Rambo_Augusta, again a good guess, but, while you can get to the very top of the destroyed construction site (with a flying Rhino), you cannot get there in any form of aircraft, since the tip is higher than you are able to fly. It has endured a lot of damage though, and will no doubt still be worth a few dollars, what with all the metal frames and that.

The answer is pretty difficult to correctly guess, and I will be very impressed with whoever does get it right...

The only thing that comes to my mind is the a stack of car scrap behind Ammu-nation in Downtown (the place where you go to to retrieve Mitch's bike in Hog-Tied)

user posted image

-- I'm stood on top of thousands of pounds worth of damage, and potential profit Not sure about the thousand tons, but it is damage+potential profit!
-- What I am stood on top of could have been very useful to me, or anybody else for that matter in the past : Indeed.
-- Getting here is no easy task, only a large vehicle or aircraft will get me to this exact spot: the stack seems tall enough to validate this condition.
-- You'll only find pedestrians in this specific area at one point in the game: During the Hog-Tied Mission.

....Apart from that I'm completely stumped. This is the best question yet.

I'm impressed! You couldn't me more on the spot if you tried; Awesome work mate! icon14.gificon14.gif

I honestly thought somebody was going to say the destroyed singular car, which is in the same area & isn't too far away from the stack of cars. And, although my third point would not have made much sense, I would have still awarded the point, as you can't get much closer. Regardless, you pinpointed my exact location, here's a rundown of the explanations in full -

-- I'm stood on top of thousands of pounds worth of damage, and potential profit -

Of course, when each car was destroyed, it would have been thousands of pounds down the drain for the previous owner. I've proved that by destroying vehicles, their damage value can raise from $5,000 to around $13,000, and maybe more, so when you add four of 'em together you get quite a substantial sum of money. And although the cars are destroyed, they could, potentially, contain some parts that will be of use to the odd scrap-man looking to sell them off for a bit of profit.

-- What I am stood on top of could have been very useful to me, or anybody else for that matter in the past -

For those of you who are able to drive a car, you will know how useful and beneficial they are to you; these cars would have been no exception to some pedestrians.

-- Getting here is no easy task, only a large vehicle or aircraft will get me to this exact spot -

This is what I thought would baffle people taking a guess at the answer. The best way to get into this area is via a two-wheeled vehicle or a relatively fast vehicle. But to get on top of the four cars is seemingly impossible to do with either. So, the only way to easily do this is by using some form of aircraft, or by using a large vehicle that is also fast enough to clear the jump and land on the roof. There aren't many of these, but the odd couple, like the Ambulance & Firetruck have been proven (by myself) to clear the jump. Maneuvering them to align with the cars and them jump on top of them then becomes child's play.

-- You'll only find pedestrians in this specific area at one point in the game -

As Arv has rightly stated, the only time you will see pedestrians in this are is during the mission Hog Tied, and only then. The place is blocked off to the public by fences and walls.

Once again, great investigative skills Arv; you're up!

Not to worry mate, I'm sure you'll get your chance soon enough. And besides, the rules on the first post clearly state that if somebody answers a question correctly, then fails to ask the question within two full hours, anybody can ask the next question.

GTArv received confirmation of his correct answer over an hour and a half ago; if he doesn't post the next question in the next twenty five minutes, anybody can ask the next question.

Sry for the OT, but this was pretty sneaky question, flicko wink.gif

The hint: "-- Getting here is no easy task, only a large vehicle or aircraft will get me to this exact spot -" confused me. When you said, that watch more North-West, then I went playing and flied with my helicopter over the Little Haiti and Downtown.

I saw and remembered the place where I had to steal the Angel, but I was thinking, that you can enter it with a motorbike also. So thatīs why it elimininated the place from my mind biggrin.gif

But, GTArv, is a real genius in these things smile.gif

I'm confused. What's the time on GTAF?on my clock it is 18:04.

The time obviously varies from where you live. The post time will correspond from what time the reply was posted in your country. For example, according to my profile, Arv's post was made at 13:57. My reply was made at 14:22, meaning at 16:22 (my local time), a new question may be asked. In other words, the next question may be posted in around three minutes. Your time settings on GTAF seem to be wrong. To correct it, do the following-

Click on your user-name ŧ Click on Edit profile ŧ Click on Board settings ŧ Check the box that reads 'Is daylight savings time in effect?'

I'm not sure that will solve your problem though, since your time on GTAF is more than an hour out.

I was hoping to baffle somebody kalev, thank God you took the bait! I'm glad a few of you are enjoying this trivia topic, and I must say I've had a lot of fun both answering and conjuring questions. All I can ask for is for everybody to keep this up!

[EDIT], anybody may now ask a question..
