I'd just like to see a more complete "MODDING FOR DUMMIES" topic open up. Nice tutorials with basic how to's (with steps) for extracting models / collision files from III/VC/SA and importing them to any of the three. Basic info on what IPL's, IDE's, COL's, DIR's, TXD's etc are and how to (what tools are available to) open / change / extract / manipulate them. As a modder that got away from all this for several years, I find myself in the frustrating position of having to re-teach myself everything I've forgotten over the years, and there just isn't any easily referenced source material to be found.

Oh, that and I'd like to see someone finally move the great maps from MAFIA and MAFIA2 into the GTA engines for III/VC. I'd love to tool around those cities in cars with better handling than the creaky cars in that game. MAFIA is a prime game for platform to platform modding, and the addition of missions would make it near perfect in the GTA world!

Sorry if this is impossible. I don't know alot about mods. I just wanted to a map modification for a upcoming DYOM thing. I want to edit the nightclub near Big Smoke's house in Idlewood, Los Santos, San Andreas.


Changes:

• The writing "Alhambra" to "Just One"
• Make the writing red and lights up at night.
• Get rid of the fire poles.
• I want it so the yellow maker is not there and it is just straight into the interior. I want the interior the same as when you go into the yellow maker.

Changes:

• I want the entrance to enter here.

Changes:

• A wall straight along the side of the stairs.
• A door that you push to get into this newly created room.
• Get rid of the gaming and food machines.
• Place a desk and chair and stuff like that to make it an office.
• Change the carpet from blue to red.
• Get rid of the vent pipe running along the roof.
• A phone hanging on the wall inside the room. Like the payphones, but make it look like a phone that you would have in a home or business.
• No rubbish inside the newly created office.

Changes:

• Put a big sign on that back wall. "Just One NightClub". Same as the one out the front.
• 4 of pole dancing poles in the middle.

Changes:

• 2 nice DJ sets on the stage

Changes:

• This door to be a push-able door.
• Have the same door, but saying "Toilet" on a small blue sign hanging on the door.
• Remove the game machine
• In the corner, have a open bin overflowing with bear bottles.

Changes:

• The push-able door from the previous picture leads to this bathroom. (From burger shot)
• No rubbish on the ground. I want this to be a very clean bathroom. 5 star quality.

Changes With The Peds:

• 2 DJs. One on each DJ.
• A pole dancer on each pole dancing pole.
• People dancing on the dance floor.
• People sitting at the bar.
• 2 bar tenders.
• People walking in and out of the bathroom.

unfortunately gta3 is an old game.So mods that made for gta3 are almost unavailable.Mods are limited.Actually We can add new buildings such as Empire State Chrysler Metlife.Other of them We can change the Callahan Bridge with Brooklyn Bridge in GTA IV.And more.Whos with me in this mod.Send a pm

Can someone please make me for san andreas in red county a racetrack / dragstrip... im gonna try to get this added onto a server and i would like something like a shorttrack for like demo derbys and races to be held with grandstands and stuff like that ( Like this maybe ) with the grandstands on the front stretch also next to it or behind it maybe a drag strip with grandstands on both sides where people can come and race people for moeny or fun plz this is my last option of getting this made i hope someone takes it serious and does it plz let me know

Wasteland map from Mad Max The Road Warrior like the opening scene with the truck, where max meets the gyro captain, the compound and hill look out and also the final chases road.

i have created some cool splash screens and menu
also some of the cars for a mad max total conversion but i don't know how to create maps

i know Vice City is old and out dated but i think it would be great to drive around int the V8 interceptor having mobs of bikers and hooligans chasing after you.

so if any one would like to help me out and create a wasteland map/maps form the movie that would be cool and i can shear links to my creations for mad max
