Hi,

For economics we had to creat a plan to set up something. We chose for a lunchroom. I'm doing that with two other guys and the biggest goal for me was to design the lunchroom. First we chose a building where it'd come. After that we went to the city hall to request the blueprints and got them. Today I started modeling it and finished it also, in around 8 hours. Before I already made a logo (also in SketchUp) which was assignment for art (to design a logo). I used many models from the warehouse, because that saves me a lot of time, and it doesn't look too bad: the teacher doesn't see that difference at all. There is a basement in the building and a second floor. The basement isn't modeled, but will be used for depositing the products etc. which can be brought down with a lift, which also isn't modeled (the lift is located in the kitchen). Please note that this whole thing is fictive..

Well, as I said, there's a second floor above, and the whole building has some weird stairs-shaped shape from the front to back, as you've probably seen on the screens (second floor goes higher in the back, just like the ceiling. The roof has the same shape as the ceiling. On some screens I hid the roof/ceiling to get a better view of the inside.

And no, I didn't model everything by myself. The building itself and the basic parts only. All other things like chairs, tables, lights, plants, bins etc. I just got from SketchUp's online free-model warehouse. I wrote that too in the first post, somewhere in the middle .

It isn't a roof, in fact it's the floor of the second floor, which is originally above the lunchroom but isn't modeled because it isn't part of the lunchroom...

And about the shape, in Holland they used to build buildings straight next to eachother without space between 'em. Same with the building I did. This is a 'photo' of the real building with a 3d model made by the architect, so you can see how it's fitted between the rest:



As you can see, it has multiple floors. Because the buildings are long to the back but not very wide, they got these weird angles of the walls and corners. Here's a pic of how it looks inside, stock:

Looks good, but maybe a flat roof with an outdoor dining area, that'd be quite cool...

Despite what everyone else is saying, I quite like the step look, I can see where they're coming from though... maybe having the idea above with maybe a glass gazebo,

It isn't going ingame, just wanted to show it. As you can read in the first post: many objects I just downloaded for free from the SketchUp online warehouse, so I haven't made those. I changed some textures though, to fit into the style of the lunchroom itself. The plants are modeled, but the leaves are just colored, not textured. There's a door to the office, if you hadn't noticed yet. Because it isn't going ingame, I don't need to make it possible to walk into the office.

It isn't going in game because he doesn't want it in game, it'd be too much trouble, given that it's made of so many different objects and stuff... besides, don't moan that it isn't going in game, there're plenty of other things that go in game, bigger stuff... besides, Puma already said it was for Economics class...

Yeah.... I didn't order him to make it in game i just felt dissapointed..
