So as I arrive home from college for the weekend, I am greeted by bad news. Our good friends that were vacationing in Tenerife got in an accident. What does this have to do with vehicle chat? You'll see later on. So anyway, the couple decided to rent a car (a Citroen C2C3) in order to experience this place first hand and not be limited to public transport.

So they take their car, find a nice parking lot, park their car there and decide to get out. Upon unbuckling their seat belts, a goddamn Gallardo comes screeching out of the corner doing burnouts and all other sorts of retarded sh*t. Now the Lambo driver being the physics professor that he is, manages to spin out and plow into the Citroen. Remember that everything is happening on mountain roads, and the Gallardo was going at a high rate of speed.

So what happens next? That's right, both cars start sliding down the rocky slopes of an ancient volcano until the Citroen is stopped by a rock. The Lambo continues to slide on (serves the f*cker right). The driver's side door of the Citroen is blocked so they had to kick out the passenger door, as the vehicle was leaned on one side and the boulder was blocking the left side. Both friends sustain semi-serious injuries, where as the dumbf*ck Lambo driver is only slightly bruised.

Here's a video (the woman sitting on the rock and the guy in the hoodie are our friends):

They later pushed the Citroen into a semi-stable position. Notice the rocks.

So guys, don't be assholes on the road, especially if you have a powerful vehicle. You have no right to endanger other motorists. Take this sh*t to the track and keep it there. Anyway, our friends are gonna sue after they get out of the hospital. Oh and, f*ck you Lambo driver, if this hasn't taught you anything, then you should have your license revoked and get your face pounded in.

I can't say that if I was a a Lambo owner I wouldn't be doing the same thing...but not on a mountain road. I'd be pissing off police and tuner drivers on US highways.

Suing? dozingoff.gif That's helpful. It shouldn't be a case of suing, it should be a case of the Lambo driver being arrested and charged with dangerous driving (or whatever the equivalent is in Tenerife).

I agree with your message though. I had some lovely death threats on another forum when some dickwad posted videos and bragged about the speeds, acceleration and deceleration he could achieve on the roads in his modified, track-prepared Mustang. He took offence when I said that I hoped he killed himself under a semi trailer before he kills some innocent motorist, which prompted accusations of being a jealous communist hippy faggot that was really jealous of him and his car.

After establishing that this was just a one-off, I took a look at his youtube account and found half a dozen videos (filmed by him while he was driving, nonetheless) of him tooling around on country roads with blind corners and hidden junctions, gunning the throttle and doing standing quarter mile times.

Fact is, some people are just arseholes on the road, and we can only hope they kill themselves by rolling their cars down rocky hills.

Well you could always report his videos to the local precinct if his plates are seen in the videos/photos and you know what state/city he's from.

I just don't understand why people need to this on public roads. Is finding a track that hard?

Thats crazy man, i hope your friends are okay Black Hawk. I do have to say i dont mind people having a bit of fun giving a little acceleration down dual carraigeways (thats providing its a safe area to do so) but i have seen many people do 50+ down the more residential areas of my city and i think it is outrageous, all it takes is a kid to run after his ball from behind a car or another vehicle pulling out of a slip road and its game over for them both. Thats guy was an idiot, of all the places to do moves more fit for a track he does them on cliff roads, poor car.

I have no problem when people have a little fun on public roads. I DO have a problem with people that floor it through crowded intersections, or simply don't pay attention to what they're doing. They can have their fun as long as they stay alert, know the limits of their car, and control themself in traffic. It loses the fun when they endanger someone else. Even watching videos on youtube, some are fun to watch, there aren't any other cars on the road, or anyone that can get hurt; then there's some that you're just saying to yourself "What the f*ck is this idiot thinking?" the entire length of the video.

I tip the hat to all Lambo drivers I see here, none are acting poorly that I can tell. The Retard Driver syndrome is either the very old, or very young driver, for the most part! haha They are a dime a dozen, mate!

I actually believe that middle aged woman are the worst drivers, atleast the elderly drive slow enough to overtake, middle aged women drive as fast as their stilletos can take them and cut over the white lines every corner they take.

I was in Murfreesburo a few days ago, and I heard sirens. Naturally, like everyone else, I pulled to the side of the road. I look behind me, and there's a Lumina still going. By this time, I see an ambulance, heading towards us in the opposite lane, and I'm thinking "pull over, you dipsh*t." What does he do?

Makes a left turn when the ambulance is about five feet away from him. Just pulls out right in front of and past it.

On my way back from Connecticut, I watched an SLR weaving in and out of traffic coming up behind us in the truck, when he came up on our side, I see its some kid around my age, but unlike me he had a tiny chinstrap beard and a big f*cking diamond in his ear and a baseball cap precariously perched upon his empty head, and again, unlike me, he wasnt wearing a seatbelt.
So anyway, he takes off again as soon a 8 foot space appeared in front of us, cuts us the f*ck off and then starts weaving in and out of traffic again, until he disappears into the horizon. So, were driving for about 20 more minutes and traffic starts getting worse than it already was, and we crawl along for about 3 miles, at about 3 miles an hour, and I start seeing the flashing lights, and theres a lot of them, it looks like some kind of outdoor disco, theres fire-engines, ambulances, and police galore.
You may be able to guess where this is going.
So once we get close to the scene, I see whats left of the SLR, upside-down, with the front...

...end sticking up in the air and charred to a crisp.
Now while I'm seeing this, the an ambulance starts to depart without the lights on.
Bad sign.

As we roll on, I see a circle of police, and they are standing around a sheet of the ground, with a lump under it. Yep.
I see his hat sitting about 20 feet from the "lump", and unfortunately for him, that "lump" wasnt very human-shaped anymore.

There were two other cars involved in the accident, but luckily they were fine, and could likely have their cars repaired.
As for the asshole in the SLR, he got what was coming to him, unfortunately.
If he had at least wore the belt, there would actually be a chance of living through it, but instead, he got tossed to his death.

(sorry for the DP, I'm typing from the PS3, and theres a limit on characters)

I've not got a problem with people who drive a bit over the limit. Fact is, 30mph is a stupidly slow speed in certain areas, under certain conditions.

Driving isn't a black-and-white. It's something you modify and adapt to depending on the conditions. You take into account your ability and your reactions, the vehicle you're driving, the road conditions, the weather conditions, etc etc.

Unfortunately, you sometimes get results like this. I'd hazard a guess and say he was unfamiliar with the vehicle. I just hope it's his lambo... rolleyes.gif

I think most 30 limits are pretty logical, but lots of 40 and 50 limits defy common sense. In the village where I grew up, there was a blanket 30 limit which changed to a national stretch; lovely to drive, well surfaced, good visability and no difficult off-camber corners or other distractions. Two youths were killed after they drunkenly crashed a stolen Golf into a tree, and now the whole road is a 40 limit.

Other people's stupidity spoils it for everyone else. People who run out of talent or skill before they run out of guts deserve what's coming to them, it's just unfortunate that they have a habit of killing and injuring sensible passers by.

The 18 mile road between my village and the nearest town is a common place for accidents over winter.

Its not brilliantly smooth and is twisty in most areas although normaly you can take it at 55-60mph, 70mph on the straights if you feel like it.
Even over winter when its quite icey, between 40-60mph will get you through fine with a bit of sense.

However over winter I saw 3 rolled cars on that road, all small hatchbacks complete with body-kits and alloy wheels. sarcasm.gif
Its people who drive like morons despite the weather or don't account for ice or road quality or driving conditions that give the rest of young drivers a bad name, and put our insurance up so high. confused.gif

Bit different in Aus, there's not a lot of expensive Ferraris and the like here.

Down here, retard drivers are usually put into 2 groups; the young guys who think they're top sh*t in their rice burners and the old guys who cut in front of you then slow down to 30 km/h... then there's the crazy guys who buy old sh*tters and do skids in them; when they get caught and impounded they just buy another one and it all happens again.

It's pretty sh*t really, we get at least one news story a week involving a teenager, a WRX or Skyline and a stobie pole. And then the government rapes us with power restrictions and probation periods.

Looking at the video, I don't see any parking lot. Unless your friends were parked above that stretch of road, which I doubt because judging by the damage they were probably parked on the side of the road until they got pushed 4-5 feet into the rock.

And judging by the damage, or lack of, done to the C3, I highly doubt the Lamborghini was going very fast at all. I don't even think it was moving. I've actually come to the conclusion that a crane dropped the Lamborghini into the pit of rocks.

dontgetit.gif

EDIT: UPON FURTHER REVIEW OF THE VIDEO AND OP, it doesn't even look like the C3 slid down anything. The Lamborghini slid down the "rocky slopes of an ancient volcano", as you can tell from all the damage done to the car and its position in relation to the C3. It looks like the C3 was pushed by a gust of wind into a rock.

I know these are your friends BH, but what you say and what the video shows look like two completely different stories. Sorry.

Sincerely,
Video Examiner

Well you suck at examining then Mr. CSI Youtube division.

I'd rather believe my friends and the injuries which they had sustained are proof enough. They did slide down that slope upon impact. They've even got the freaking police report and witnesses stating so. Anyway, I'm not going to be arguing with you here, I trust their word over yours. smile.gif
