Gangs in Vice cityGang Vercetti Gang | Information The Vercetti gang are a large criminal organisation that operate in Vice city, you can see the Vercetti gang after completing Rub out. This replaces your The Diaz drug cartel with the Vercetti gang. The Vercetti gang is lead by Tommy Vercetti and Lance Vance (previous to keep your friends close). They mainly carry pistols but have been known to wield Uzi's. When Tommy takes over a business, members of the Vercetti gang operate around that particular area. These businesses include Kaufman cabs, Sunshine Autos, Cherry popper Ice cream company, Inter global films,The printworks, The Malibu club and the Pole position strip club. They are dressed in blue Hawaiian shirts and blue pants, others are seen with plain blue shirts and white pants. They are enemies with The Hatians as they are seen fighting with them outside of Kaufman cabs and The printworks.

Gang The Cubans | Information The Cubans are a Cuban street gang that operate in Little Havana, they are lead by Umberto Robina. In 1986, they are fighting for control of the two poor communities, Little Havana and Little Haiti with the Haitains. They carry pistols and uzis and hang around little Havana. They are seen wearing red and white shirts and others wearing beige jumpers and black trillby hats. They are affiliated with the Diaz gang in a drug trade. | Picture

Gang The Hatians | Information The Hatians are lead by Aunt Poulet, who gives Tommy work to create trouble for the Cubans whilst hallucinating him with her "Tea". They operate around the poor community of little Haiti. They wear purple and blue shirts, some say "RELAX" across them. They are bitter enemies with Tommy Vercetti and the Cubans. | Picture

Gang The Sharks | Information The sharks are a small time street gang that mainly operate in Prawn Island around the run down mansions. They are also often seen around North point mall. The leader of The sharks, who is unknown, betrayed Ricardo Diaz by stealing his drugs, this caused Lance Vance and Tommy to perform an attack from an helicopter in the mission Phnom penh '86. They also cross paths with Tommy when Big Mitch Baker "initiates him" by telling him to return his bike from the sharks, who had stolen it. They are seen wearing sleeveless denim jackets and red shirts.

Gang Bikers | Information The Vice city bikers are a small outlaw biker gang, based on the Hells Angels, that operate in Downtown Vice city. They are lead by Big Mitch Baker, who describes the Bikers as "The biggest gang of misfits, outcasts and badasses". Some notable members of The bikers are Cougar and Zeppelin, who race with Tommy in Alloy wheels of steel. They are mainly seen outside of The greasy chopper. Their main choice of vehicle is the Angel.

Gang Diaz's gang | Information The Diaz gang are a large Colombian drug cartel that operate around Starish Island (Where Diaz's mansion/Vercetti estate is). They are affiliated with the Cubans after performing drug deals with them. After the mission Rub out they disappear and only return during Rampages They are usually heavily armed and should be approached with caution as they gather in large groups. They dress in red Hawaiian shirts, similar to the Vercetti gang, but a different colour. | Picture

Gang
Street wannabe's | Information In Grand theft auto: Vice city, there is a group of gangs that are named street wannabes (including the Sharks, but they served as a more criminally minded gang), these gangs include:- The leaf link golfers
- The Military
- Patrol Invest group (P.I.G)
Although these aren't real criminal gangs in the game, they still attack you if you cause a threat to them. The military operate in and around Fort Baxter airbase and are a very dangerous group as they carry M4's and hang around in large groups. If you enter Fort Baxter without the cop uniform (unlocked during Copland) they will attack you on sight. The leaf link golfers are a group of elderly golfers that hang around the Leaf links golf club. They drive caddies and carry golf clubs, which can be picked up after successfully killing a golfer. They don't pose any major threat like the P.I.G & The Military but will still attack nonetheless. The Patrol invest group are a group of security officers operating mainly in Starfish Island and around North point mall. They have also been known to hang around Vice Port and Escobar international airport. They are often seen chasing and attacking criminals, and have been known to fight with police officers. They carry 9mm pistols and pose a minor threat to Tommy. | Picture P.I.Gs

| QUOTE (Pr0xy_fl00d3r @ Apr 3 2009, 16:13) | | Updated: Added "street wannabes". | Nice work on the update, complete with pictures of each gang (Also good job on the screenshot of the P.I.Gs outside of DBP security). One thing though, the golfers aren't actually classified as streetwannabes in-game. They are stated in the stats as Golfers, only the Sharks, soldiers and P.I.Gs are classed as streetwannabes. Also, you can actually get the Golfers to wield pistols and shoot at you. To do this, get a group of them to chase you, then jump on top of a vehicle. The Golfers weaponry will immediately change to pistols, and they become much more deadly than when they only have golf-clubs in their weaponry. Another bit of interesting trivia.

Yes. The police will do the same when you have 1 star wanted level where they only use their nightsticks to attack you. A similar case happens with the Diablos in GTA III and Liberty City Stories. | The thing is, with the police, we all know that they have the colt .45 in their weaponry, it's their duty to have one. But I'm sure the majority of members who read about the Golfers wielding pistols came across as quite a shock. They only ever attack you with a golf-club, it's very peculiar that they change their inventory to the colt .45 when you jump on top of a vehicle. Though, on my specific version of the game (Platinum version for the PS2), the moment I jump on top of a vehicle, and I am being charged down by a group of golfers, my game freezes. I verified this on two different copies of the game, and one of them was brand new at the time.

| QUOTE (Vercetti27 @ Apr 10 2009, 20:13) | | ^ WOW. Staying away from the streetwannabe's turf at leaf links now. They're a load of badasses lol. | Streetwannabes..? The golfers have their very own classification, which is... golfers! They're too sophisticated to be classed as streetwannabes. They can be quite annoying at times, especially when you're in a Caddy. Because they haven't got any doors, it's as easy to pull somebody out of one, as it is if you were on a bike. Then you have to wait a few seconds until you get to your feet, and when you do you are immediately clobbered by four or five golf clubs! The golfers are rather comical, though.

| QUOTE (Pr0xy_fl00d3r @ Apr 11 2009, 10:48) | | What about the guys who hang around the North point mall? You know, the guys in the brown and black leather jackets, they look like Greasers. They dont wield weapons but they are always fighting with cops and being chased. |
Every City has to contain criminals, and those pedestrians are exactly that. They're the type who walk like they've had a steaming iron rod poked up their arse, and are often on the run from the law, as you have stated. Also, if you are in the vicinity of one, and you are stationary in a vehicle, quite often they will walk up to you, throw you out of the vehicle and drive away with it hastily. It's always those peds that you see driving more erratically in other random vehicles as well, because they have stolen them. But yeah, they aren't classed as gangs, they're the criminals of the game.
