- Hoboken - Bus Depot - Favela - Docks - Branco HQ (Only available in Deathmatch or Payne Killer) |
I'm convinced that guy was talking about the smaller versions of those maps i.e Hoboken Alleys, Junk (Bus Depot), North Favela and The Yards (Docks) |
Not noticed any smaller versions of the maps, then again I don't play Payne Killer much. | Actually Payne Killer usually uses the larger versions of the maps except for The Docks, Nova Esperanca and 55th Battalion HQ. To my knowledge normal Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch i.e. the 8 player versions are the only modes that use the smaller versions.

| QUOTE (Money Over Bullsh*t @ Friday, Jul 13 2012, 13:55) | | QUOTE (cp1dell @ Friday, Jul 13 2012, 01:36) | | Just beat it for the third time, this time on Hardcore. Have to say it was a Payne in the ass. |
There's a little trick to get the Hardcore trophy in Old School mode.
If you play Old School right up until the cutscene after you blow up the plane, wait for the Old School trophy to pop then press the PS/Xbox button in the middle of your controller to quit the game entirely, upon starting the game back up you will be once again returned to the portion of the game where you must blow up the plane. If you go into options and change the difficulty to Hardcore then blow the plane up again you will get the Trophy/Achievement for completing the game on Hardcore. Which means that you don't actually have to play the game on Hardcore at all.
I know this doesn't help you since you've already completed the game on Hardcore but I just thought I'd put it out there for others. |
Just to let everybody know, this trick doesn't work since the patch. I completed Old School and dropped down to Hardcore but got no trophy. I would say some spoil sport(s) emailed Rockstar crying about how they got the trophy legit and other players were getting it by cheating the system. I guess I'll just have to complete the game again on Hardcore. I don't think it will be too hard considering I found Old School quite managable with no Last Man standing but it remains to be seen. | QUOTE (allah_akbar @ Monday, Jul 30 2012, 17:32) | | QUOTE (Money Over Bullsh*t @ Monday, Jul 30 2012, 13:33) | | I can't even imagine what the final battle with Becker is going to be like with no last man standing. |
Terribly difficult. For me only solution was to shootdodge over the luggages. Don't even try going too far, because Becker will shoot a grenade and Max will instantly die. Also, dual wielding SMGs is far more effective than assault rifle. |
I found the best strategy is actually just to stay where you are and work from right to left killing every enemy in Bullet time. The main thing to remember is to keep an eye on the right side to stop enemies flanking. At two points during the fight a vehicle will come from the right, when you see this happening you need to turn towards Becker because he will fire a grenade.. if you let those grenades hit you you will die, aside from Becker nobody else will cause you any problems in that section. I was actually suprised how easy it was once you keep an eye on your surroundings and use your pain killers when you need to.

| QUOTE (Barry Spock @ Saturday, Aug 4 2012, 11:59) | Fire: the great equaliser. I've never died of tear gas but I've burnt up plenty of times already - sometimes by my own hand. I just made a suggestion the feedback email that they provide a fireproof suit as an answer to molotovs the way you can have a gas mask to beat gas. Molotovs seem to be a much more effective way of shutting down a checkpoint or blocking a door.
It's a bummer there's no grinds for it, or the hammerhead + G9. |
I think they should just have a chest item called "Blast Armour" or "Bomb Suit" which provides the same protection against bullets as Heavy Armour, Stops you being knocked down/knocked out of cover by frag grenades and reduces the damage taken by molotovs - the catch being that it's really heavy in terms of loadout weight. Also, while we're on the subject, hollow points should actually do more damage to enemies than regular bullets (like the armor piercing rounds in the Trigger Happy burst) rather than just increasing respawn times which can sometimes take several minutes with the lags, regardless of wether you've been hit with Hollow points or not.
