What is your favourite beer? Definetly Guinness, Stella Artois, Coors, or Budweiser. What is your favourite spirit? I'd have Vodka, Cachaca (Brasillian spirit), Whiskey, Gin. I guess I'll have everything! What is your favourite ales? Black Dragon, it's one hell of a brilliant ale that has some sediment in it (sounds strange I know!) and is brewed traditionally. I loved it, had it a few times but never fonud it again. What is your least favourite beer? Fosters. I don't know why. What is your least favourite spirit? Not sure, I don't think I have one! What is your least favourite ale? I haven't had many, but it would probably be the cheapest stuff. Do you drink to enjoy it or to get drunk? Both.

I know what you mean. Compared to this time last year I drink about a third of what I used to per week (I still go out 2 nights a week) and I'm often not in the mood for more than just a few pints and maybe a quick Vodka and summin in a club (if I can be arsed to move on). Then again, my hangovers are a complete bitch these days, plus I went through a 2 month period of feeling incredibly ill the second I drank anything alcoholic. I figured that was my body's way of telling me to take it easy. It's beneficial, I'm starting to lose the beer gut I started to develop from when I turned 18. |
Yeah, thats similar to what happened to me. For a while I started to get really a bad stomach even after only a few drinks, followed by hideous hangovers. And that just kinda put me off drinking fullstop. The thing that really surprised me is that i don't even miss it. | Likewise. A bit off on a tangent, but I've decided to stop smoking as of today and really cut down on the drinking. I feel better already. Mind you, that might be due to the fact I've got £50 riding on it . Anyway, what's this love for Guinness? In large amounts it's f*cking horrible.

Haha, well £50 or no £50, quiting smoking (if it goes through) is always better than continuing. Good luck with that, hope it works out. If I smoked, I'd probably be too lazy to ween myself off what I liked, so I respect anyone who does.

Jesus, I'm just back from a session I'll never forget. My ID got rejected at my usual (it's fake of course) and I couldn't get in anywhere so we decided to go knacker drinking (i.e. get a few cans plus some spirits and head to a field). We had a good session anyway but at the end of the night did sh*t hit the fan. As we were leaving (3 of us) we decided to hop the wall out of the field, I hopped it but they waited as I went to show off (as you do when drunk) and do some change-raising scams and show them the earnings. They failed. I went back defeated and we had a good laugh about it and pretty much everything else, at this stage 1 was left on the far side of the wall. A car pulled up, we looked at it and shrugged it off, my mate even called them pedos. Who got out of the car? 5-motherf*cking-0. The god damn police. Luckily all they did was ask who got the drink (my friend, who's 18) and where we got it from (we "couldn't remember" the name), asked us if we had any hash (we didn't) and told us to go home.
I realise now that they couldn't do anything to me and my under-age mate bar a fine for public consumption of alcohol and maybe public disorder but at the time, with 6 cans and a shoulder in me, I was bricking it. I kept my cool but a lesson to all those under-agers, stick to the f*cking pubs or move quickly from A to B.
