Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. There are a total of 6 new weapons included in the Lost and Damned. Please note that these are only available in Johnny's storyline and can not
be used while playing as Niko.
|Weapon Name||Weapon Description||Weapon Picture|
|Grenade Launcher||This single shot grenade launcher will fire a grenade farther, at a higher velocity and with more accuracy than any thrown by hand. Must be reloaded after every shot, but is powerfully effective. Learn to bounce grenades off walls and around corners to take out your rivals.|
|Assault Shotgun||This fully automatic shotgun is extremely powerful and fires off shells constantly. This weapon is very effective at taking out multiple targets at once and can take down vehicles quickly.|
|Pipe Bomb||This explosive device is home made, but produces a large blast radius. This weapon is most effective when rolled under vehicles or thrown into areas with a high density of enemies.|
|Sawed off shotgun||This shotgun has a short gun barrel producing a wide blast and is deadly at close range. Fires only 2 shells but automatically reloads and can be fired from your bike.|
|Automatic 9mm||This pistol requires only one pull of the trigger to empty the magazine and is very accurate. This is a great weapon for drive-bys and close combat with its high rate of fire.|
|Pool Cue||Use this lethal weapon like the bat - swing left, right and block using the different attack buttons.|

Q. What happens if one of the Lost dies with me while I'm on a mission?Q. How long will the Lost and Damned take for me to download?
A. No true answer can be given. Your download speed depends on your connection speed, whether your ISP is capping your connection and the serverload on the XBL servers. To gain a rough idea of a speed go here and choose a speed test to somewhere near Seattle, which is where the main XBL servers are. This will only give a rough estimate however, and cannt give a definite answer.Q. I have downloaded The Lost and Damned and it shows up on my hard drive, but I just get put into GTA IV when I try to play it, what's wrong?
A. You need to start up GTA IV while connected to Xbox Live, because you need to download an update for your game. This update basically adds a file check so the first time you start up GTA IV with TLaD downloaded it will prompt you to play it.Q. How many missions are there in the Lost and Damned storyline?
A. There are 23 storyline missions.Q. Can I keep my save of Niko's storyline as well as Johnny's storyline?
A. Yes, simply load between the two.Q. Is there a list of all the new songs that have been added to the radio stations?
A. Yes, this
is the list from the Rockstar Games website.[/URL]Q. Is it possible to get girlfriends in TLaD and are you able to take them out like you were able to in GTA IV?
A. The answer to both is currently no, there have been no date-able girlfriends discovered yet.Q. Will using any cheats (even the GTA IV ones) disable any of TLaD achievements?
A. No, to test this I did my first run-through of the game and used every single cheat and still got every achievement in the same session as well.Q. Is any of the content that comes with the Lost and Damned available in Niko's storyline?
A. The new vehicles and weapons are not available, but at the time of writing the new radio songs can be heard in Niko's story.Q. I played the Lost and Damned and turned off my console, now when I play GTA IV it starts up Niko's story, how do I get back into Jonny's story?
A. Pause and go to the Game tab, then (providing you have a save game from TLaD) choose the save game that has TLAD in front of it, this signifies the difference between the two storylines.Q. I played the Lost and Damned and turned off my console without saving, now when I play GTA IV it starts up Niko's story, how do I get back into Jonny's story?
A. Pause and go to the Game tab, then because you didn't save you will have to start a New Game. Press A and you will be given an option between GTA IV and The Lost and Damned.Q. The display of my game looks 'fuzzy' and the graphics seem to be worse than in GTA IV, what's up?
A. This is an effect that Rockstar added to the game to add to the biker gritty theme of the game. The effect is called Noise, also known as Film Grain. It can be turned off is the Display tab of the Pause menu.Q. Is it possible for you to store cars in this game?
A. Yes, cars can be stored in the yellow-striped parking areas outside all safehouses, including Niko's. If you cannot remember the locations, go to this link and check the box on the right-hand side so that only 'Original' is ticked. Then open the Points of Interests section and check the safehouse box, this will display all of Niko's safehouses.Q. How do you boost the toughness of your Lost MC partners, Terry and Clay?
A. This can be done a few different ways;
Q. I'm having trouble hitting other bikers off of their bikes in the races, why?
- After progressing far enough in the story, you will unlock the ability to call either Terry or Clay (it doesn't matter who you call, they both come anyway) and ask them for backup. When you call them for backup they will acccompany you for missions and provide extra firepower and drive around, following you. When you finish the mission they're accompanying you on, they will gain a Toughness boost of 8%. On some missions they will automatically be with you as backup, and for these missions they will gain a percentage boost of 12%.
- After progressing far enough into the story, you will unlock side-missions named Gang Wars. In Gang Wars you must travel to a group of Angels of Death members and take them all out. They are pretty simple and do not take long, and will give Terry and Clay a Toughness boost of 2-4%.
- Another way, which is very boring and takes a long time is to call them for backup and then drive in formation and they will gain a percentage boost of around 1-2% roughly every minute.
A. It takes 4-5 normal hits to know them off of their bikes, however bikers can be easily knocked off if you hold the hit button until Jonny pulls the bat further back. This will knock the rivals off straight away in one hit.Q. Are there any new clothes available in TLaD?
A. No, there are no new clothes nor new clothes shops in TLaD. You can enter Perseus and Modo but you can't buy items from them.Q. When I try to throw a punch, Jonny doesn't do anything?
A. This doesn't seem to happen to everybody, I've never had it happen to me but I've read a lot about it happening to others. It has been reported that holding LT to target the person you're trying to hit fixes this, and also that restarting the Xbox fixes it when the previous fix doesn't.Q. Does the Towtruck actually have the ability to tow?
A. No, you cannot tow vehicles outside nor inside of missions. There are also no special missions that make use of it just that once.Q. What happens if one of the Lost dies with me while I'm on a mission?
A. Any unimportant bikers will just die and their face will be put onto the Memorial Wall in the Clubhouse. However if an important character such as Terry or Clay gets killed, you will be forced to start the mission again from the last checkpoint. This is not the same in Gang Wars however, if Clay or Terry die during combat in a Gang War it will simply continue without stopping or restarting.
--------------Q. What are Gang Wars and how do I unlock them?
A. You unlock Gang Wars as you progress into them story, roughly halfway through I would say. They pit a group of The Lost against a group other enemies including Angels of Death, Russians, Italians and Jamaicans. The missions are generally easy and they involve you meeting up with The Lost by going to a Gang Wars map marker and then you ride together to the enemies and you must kill them all. The missions will vary in difficulty as you do more of them, and there are several different scenarios;
- The Lost has to chase down a group of AoD bikers and kill them all. Pretty simple.
- The Lost must chase down a car which is being escorted by a group of bikers. This one can be a bit trickier as the car will often speed away from the firefight meaning you must chase after it when you have killed all of the bikers.
- The Lost must chase down a truck/van which is being escorted by a group of cars. This one can be a bit trickier as the truck is large and can take a lot of damage. A Sawn-Off shotgun is advised.
- The Lost must go to a location where there is a group of enemies on foot at a meet place. You must kill them all, but beware that as these progress, backup vehicles will arrive with more enemies which you will need to take out.
These Gang Wars not only result in a decent amount of cash and (after doing 25) getting you closer to 100% game completion, they will also unlock weapons which will be stored at your Safehouse. The list I have discovered so far is as follows;
- 10 Gang Wars Complete: Sawn-Off Shotgun
- 20 Gang Wars Complete: Automatic 9mm Pistol
- 30 Gang Wars Complete: M4 Carbine Rifle
- 40 Gang Wars Complete: Assault Shotgun
- 50 Gang Wars Complete: Grenade Launcher
Although the Gang Wars don't stop at 50, it seems that the rewards do.
Q. What are the Bike Races, and how do I unlock them?[/b]
A. In Bike Races (single player), you are pitted up against other bikers and basically just race around a circuit for a number of laps (usually 3, sometimes more sometimes less). The twist on these races is that because you're a biker you have the ability to hit other bikes off of their bikes during the race with your baseball bat. This of course gives you a good chance of getting ahead of your rivals and staying in front of them. To hit bikers off, you can either hit them normally (B to hit right and X to hit left) which will take 4-5 hits to knock them off, or hold down either button to knock them off in one shot. They will be unlocked as you progress through the story. Also note that you can continue to do bike races after completing all 12.Rewards:
For completing all 12 of these Bike Races, you will be rewarded with a Hakuchou (Japanese sports bike) that spawns in the grass outside of your Safehouse.Q. What are the odd-jobs for Stubbs, and when do I unlock them?
A. The odd-jobs are missions given to you through the phone by Stubbs and are as named, odd-jobs. They show up in the Stats menu in the Score section a the very bottom and named as 'Stubbs dirty laundry washed'. There are a total of 5 missions to do for him. The missions vary in length they are generally short and easy but provide something extra to do in the game. They are also all different, so it is not just 5 repeating missions and all involve you doing things to give him the edge over other politicians in the area by exposing them.
There is not much that needs to be said on the missions themselves, they're quite basic but if people request walkthroughs then I'll write some up.Rewards:
Currently, I'm not aware if there are any rewards for doing this other than having a new number in your phonebook. If there is, please reply and I'll add it in.Q. Are there Random Pedestrians in the Lost and Damned, and how many are there?
A. Yes, the Random Peds from GTA IV do make a return to the Lost and Damned, albeit quit short. There are a total of 2 Random Peds is TLaD, Dave Grossman and Malc, who has 2 missions. So overall there are a total of 2 Peds and 3 missions for you to do. Unlike IV where you had to complete a Ped's first mission to unlock their second, you do not in TLaD, the Ped missions are unlocked as you progress through the storyline and you can choose to do them out of order if you wish. I will be listing them in the order that they unlock.
- Dave Grossman
You can meet Dave on the main steps to Goldberg, Ligner and Shyster, and in short he is about to be sued of the face of the Earth for something he didn't do. Your job is to chase after a rival lawyer, damage his car enough to make him pull over, and then have a word with him after.
- Malc- 1
Malc in a parking lot, where you first met him in the storyline. He is prepping for a race and invites you to compete with him. You need a bike and to go to the start line. You must then win the race. This race is not unique as it can be done from the same starting point as this encounter.
- Malc- 2
Malc is on a corner in Northwood, not to far from the Pay n Spray and he finds that his friend DeSaun is in trouble-he's been shot in a race. You go to meet DeSaun in the Westminster area. You then proceed to find some Angel of Death hanging out near the Pay n Spray in Purgatory. Thre is about 7 or 8 of them, and you have to kill them all. Simple as.
The above mission walkthroughs are courtesy of Claude4Catalina, so many thanks to him. I will however be writing up my own ones for this FAQ.
There is also a 3rd Random Character only obtainable if you play the story in a certain way. Because of that, the way you play is in the spoiler tags below as to not ruin it for all;I decided not to kill Brian. Yep, that's right. When you don't kill him, and walk away, he says 'I'll leave town Johnny!' and that's that. I just finished the mission where you steal the diamonds and was about to go do Ashley's mission where you kidnap Roman until I noticed something I never saw before. A new random character marker! So I went there, thinking I had to have gone crazy
Courtesy of ScottendoQ. Are there vehicle theft missions in the game like there were in GTA IV?
A. Yes, but this time you only steal bikes, no cars. There are a total of 10 bikes that you need to steal. To do so you will need to ring Angus, however the ability to call him and ask for a job is only unlocked after you have progressed a certain amount into the story. As with the GTA IV car thefts, some of the bikes are parked up and some of them may be driving around, either way they are still easy to pick up. There's nothing much more to say on these really, just ring Angus and ask for a job then go and rob the bike and return it to the garage which is around the back of the Lost Clubhouse.Rewards:
A Bati 800 will spawn outside of your Safehouse.
--------------Q. Is it possible to watch TV after the storyline is over?
A. Yes, but only through a glitch in the game. Go onto the roof of the Clubhouse and walk around until you see the 'Press LB to watch TV' pop-up. Press it and you will be transported inside. The downside is that the only way you can get out is to die, so if you're going to do it take some sort of explosive with you.
For a video tutorial of this glitch, please see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIoCAboEWksQ. Is it possible to play the Arm Wrestling mini-game after the storyline is over?
A. Yes, there are two places to play the mini-game towards the North of Algonquin.Q. Is it possible to play the cards mini-game, Hi-Lo, after the storyline is over?
A. Currently I, nor anybody else has found anywhere for Johnny to play cards. If you do find somewhere, please make a post here.
Tear up the streets road rash style on the new selection of motorcycles, armed with a heavy bat to smack opponents off their hogs. Swing the bat to left or right, and charge up your swing to do extra damage… or get a solid start off the line and race away from the competition.Club Business
In this competitive/co-operative hybrid mode, ride with The Lost and prove you have what it takes to become club leader. You’ll receive tasks that must be completed to gain standing with the gang, and once you’ve completed enough tasks, you become the leader.Lone Wolf Biker
In this mode, a single player, the Lone Wolf, is on the run and everyone else is out to get them. The Lone Wolf must go through a series of checkpoints that only they can see, while the rest of the participants attempt to kill them and take over the role of Lone Wolf. If the Lone Wolf is killed, the person that kills them takes over.
In the Lone Wolf Biker mode there are two options “Full Throttle” and “Chopper vs. Chopper”:
- Full Throttle - Successfully complete motorcycle checkpoint racing while other bikers do all they can to stop you - play as the hunted or as one of the hunters.
- Chopper vs. Chopper - Pits checkpoint bike racer against another player trying to stop you in an attack helicopter with explosive rounds. Crazy.
This is a team based mode where you choose to be either N.O.O.S.E or The LOST. There is a prison transport bus that must drop off prisoners at different police stations across Liberty City. N.O.O.S.E must deliver the prisoners safely to LCPD stations across the map to win. Meanwhile, The Lost members however, are on a mission to destroy the heavily-armored bus full of snitches.Gang War
This team based mode’s main objective is to take as much territory as you can. The territories are drawn on the map and guarded by NPC defenders. You must eliminate all defenders and rival gang members before you can capture a territory. The winner is decided based on a fixed territory captured % or whoever has most territory after a time limit expires.
-------------Q. There is a new menu in the Multiplayer section of my Phonebook, what is this for?
A. This is where you can choose to filter the games you enter with certain options, so that you only enter games with these options enabled or disabled. For each filter there are 3 available options; Don't Care, Allow or Disallow. You can choose to filter the following; Auto-Aim, Police and Friendly Fire.Q. In TLaD Free Mode, I cannot turn the police on nor can I turn Auto-Aim off, is it supposed to be set like this?
A. Yes, these options are set for you when playing Free Mode in The Lost and Damned. However, you can change these settings in the Preferences menu described above.
|Spawn Gang Burrito||826-555-0150|
|Spawn Double T||245-555-0125|
|Get Good Wood||To get this achievements easily, all you need to do is whack one guy off of his bike (hold X or B until Jonny swings the bat right back) then sit next to it on your bike and every time the biker gets back on just hit him off again (hold X or B while he is walking back to his bike so that you are ready to hit him off).|
|Easy Rider||Simple really, for this achievement all you need to do is complete all Lost and Damned story missions. There are a total of 23.|
|Full Chat||I find the easiest way to boost Terry and Clay's toughness is to ask them to join you on any/every mission you can. You will unlock the ability to do this when you progress far enough into the story. Another quick way, and the method I personally used, is to do Gang Wars. They're very quick and easy to complete.|
|The Lost Boy||This is unlocked for becoming the Leader of the Lost. You will gain this through completing the story missions.|
|One Percenter||Simple, gained after you complete the first mission of the Lost and Damned storyline.|
