Chicago Tribune picked TLAD launch day to run a previously unpublished interview done last November (about IV, not TLAD). Dan Houser talks in depth about why things are they way they are in GTA. Dan Houser Speaks: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and finally, Part 4 This post has been edited by Magic_Al on Saturday, Feb 21 2009, 02:12

I like this quote from part IV: | QUOTE | "What next for the Scots guys? What are we going to do about this?"
And Sam and I were walking around in New York, going out for lunch, it was relatively relaxed. And he goes, "We should do New York."
And I said, "But we’ve done Liberty City."
And he says, "No, no. We should do New York properly. That’s what we should do."
And then the next big moment: Sam was going, "We need a different kind of lead character, because we’re bored of doing mobsters, and it’s getting too repetitive. We’ve got to find something new and interesting ... . Let’s do an Eastern European." |
Really sums up a lot about GTA IV. Also solves lots of arguements in the NeXt forum.
