Hey!
I'm a noob with gta 4 modding and when the new patch came magicIV doesn't work for me anymore.
I tryed the new 1.0.2 but it didn't work or is it because i'm using needleIV?
so what program shall i use if it's needleIV?

magicIV is not updated for 1.0.2.0 and its not needed, you just have to empty your filelist.pak and you can modify.

so, the magicIV only make filelist.pak empty
but i still get error when trying to save the modified files with needleIV

Undo the magic.bat and delete it. Then go to the thread below and download the filelist.pak. Back up the original and then copy the new one from that thread and now you can mod GTA IV.

Make sure the files in the GTA IV directory aren't write protected. To do this right click on the GTA IV main folder and select properties then make sure the box that's marked "Read Only" is not checked. Then click apply. It might take a few seconds before it's done. Hope this helps
