i like the mod. but i have coppied all the files into the GTA IV file list. and when i start up the game, it says Dsound.dll Cannot create file. how can i fix this?

Awesome, but i recently got EFLC But when i press num 5 it wont select the thing i want i can only see the menu of it and i can spawn thing with the shortcuts but i cant select things like vehicle menu, player menu etc. so i was wondering if some one could please help me with it

1. Press F3.
2. Make sure your Num Lock is on.
3. Use 8, 4, 2, 6 to navigate menus.
4. Use 5 to select an option and 0 to go back to the previous menu.

I really need help I'm losing my mind over this...

I've reinstalled the game and started over brand new 2x now.

I purchased GTA IV EFLC from Gamestop online... downloaded and installed.

I then downloaded this trainer, extracted the files and put the appropriate ones int he EFLC folder.

I've also got an ASI Loader, that I got from this site, also extracted and dsound.dll placed in the EFLC folder.

Start up the game, and F3 does nothing... am I supposed to toggle this on some how? I've read readmes, watched youtube videos but it doesn't work.... I know its got to be something stupid I'm missing, and I'm sorry for such a noob ass post, but I really feel like I've googled/youtubed/read as much as I can to try to figure out what I'm missing and I cannot seem to figure it out.

The system is Windows XP SP3, and I believe the 'version' that downloaded from gamestop is 1.10.002

PS... mods in general seem to work fine because I did successfully get the one of the mega car packs to work excellent... but without trainer I can only steal whats around me and cannot spawn cars from the menu (my ultimate goal)

Lastly, I have no interest in playing online... so I dont mind if mods screw up the ability to get online... dont know if that helps at all.

Please help me out guys... I'm totally confused.

1. If you want only singleplayer, use XLiveless. It will read from a different directory when saving and loading, however.
2. It sounds like your ASI loader isn't working.

when i start-up the game, everything is fine, but then after a few minutes into the game, the map just dissappears. there are no roads, no buildings, nothing. this only happens when i use a trainer, and i dont want to stop using it. this has only been a recent problem beginning like a week ago, before that it ran fine for months. any ideas or help on fixing this issue?

Never had the map etc disappear when using a trainer... hmm..
Your game has the latest patch right and you're using the latest of sjaaks trainer ?
Do you have any other mods, cars etc installed ?
What are your system specs ?

yea most recent version of everything, no mods. and i exceed all the requirments.

I loved this mod forever but when using EFLC no matter what asi loader or what scripthook i have it will just not work either the game wont load or it will load and the trainer wont work. ASI logs only shows this

@ ddyoung have you tried removing, reinstalling all the trainer files ?
Have you tried even reinstalling the game itself ?

I've just never seen the problem you describe w/out it being an issue w/ either hardware OR mods. When the game first came out before all the patches there were problems w/ roads/buildings etc disappearing and then when ppl put the game settings too high OR mods that change the shaders etc ... You say it only messes up when you use the trainer, are you sure its not some option in the trainer you're using thats causing the problem ?! Otherwise I would not know what it is, just not seen that.

@ GTAfreak2010, do you have the latest updates for your OS ? Did you try using Hazards YAASIL (asi loader) ?

if other mods, like car mods are working, doesn't that technically mean my asi loader IS working? --not sure here.

I'm having the traffic spawning problem, and F3 isn't working for the trainer...

the mega car pack does load up fine though... as I see lexus' BMWs and stuff in the game, just cant bring up trainer to spawn em, and its rare to see anything other than taxi cabs as street traffic.

This is how my game folder loox below, just minimal things and the DotNetasi is just for scripts so its not essential to the trainer. Its ONLY using 2 files to activate "trainer___.asi", and that is scripthook.dll and dsound.dll (asi loader). Ppl often say "it wont work" but we find the trainer is not the only thing in the game folder but 3, 5 or more mods some of them w/ their own hooks and whatnot and some things are just incompatible, some other mods also use the F3 key which SNT uses to activate. Kind of like ELS - emergency lighting system uses certain keys as does SNT and ELS wont work properly w/ SNT having functions assigned to the same keys, I've often had to deactivate SNT just to use ELS functions.

Having some trouble getting a bodyguard to follow me in a car.

So I go to Bodyguard/Ped Spawning, set the 'Follow as driver' to 'Enabled' and choose the model, weapon and the vehicle and vehicle colour and when I spawn the bodyguard he just gets in my car as a passenger.

Any ideas?

When i use the video-editor and i go back to singleplayer, and then try to open the Trainer menu, it always crashes.
