hi really need your guyz help.. so i downloaded one of the games..and put it in the correct folder c:\app etc... now when ever i try to load the game.. it says "load failed" etc... now i am confused which one should i place in my game folder directory of GTA IV? The xlive wrapper.. or the other xlive files?.. cause when ever i place them in my game folder.. my game doesn't start and gives me a error.. untill i delete those xlive files, then only i am able to start the game.. but can't load the saved games.. PLEASE HELP!! |
I'm not sure what you did wrong, but I'll show you the steps. 1. Download the latest version of XLiveless. 2. extract and replace xlive.dll at the GTA IV main directory. 3. Put the savegame at one of the directories you quoted, based on which OS you have. Hope that helps.

Hey all, I have the same problem. Recently bought a new PC and grabbed my GTA IV save files from the correct place, but didn't take my Xlive folder (didn't know until now). I've tried all sorts, online/ offline/ and no profiles - logged in to GFWL , Xlive wrapper, xliveless, some one else's Xlive folder, etc etc. Cant get any of it to work at all. By the looks of it, most people get success with XLiveless, but i can't seem to at all. - The game either doesn't load, or the saves just don't show up. My Xliveless version is: 0.999b7 My GTA iv version 1.0.7.0 according to the .exe file Is there an updated xliveless? Thanks SizZa~

Here's an older mini-guide of mine about how to use xliveless to load save files, should hopefully help you. | QUOTE | First, you need to install xliveless. Simply put the xlive.dll in the game directory. Now, download and save game and place it here (change the system driver letters accordingly):
Windows XP SP3: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames Windows Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames Windows 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames
Now, to place the savegames in the proper directory, you can go by one of the following two procedures: a) Create the following folder structure in the "My Documents" folder manually (Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames) b) Simply start GTAIV, create a new game from the menu and save the game taking the first opportunity. Now you can look for the folder in "My Documents" and drop any savegames you have there. |
I'm not sure it it'll work, but please DO try to re-download this xliveless and DO follow each step above, it might be of help.
